We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family as they seek wisdom and guidance in making medical decisions for their precious children. Father, Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We ask that You pour out Your wisdom upon this family, that they may discern Your will in all things concerning their children’s health. Give them peace as they navigate these decisions, trusting in Your sovereignty and goodness.
Lord, we also pray for the grandparent who lovingly cares for these children. Strengthen them in body, mind, and spirit, and fill them with faith that sustains them through each day. May they find rest in You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, as Psalm 46:1 declares, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
We ask that You help this family maintain a home that honors You, one that is clean, orderly, and filled with Your presence. Remind them that their bodies and their home are temples of the Holy Spirit, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or confusion that may be clouding their judgment. We declare that perfect love casts out fear, as 1 John 4:18 tells us, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love." Fill them with Your love and peace, that they may walk in confidence, knowing You hold their children in Your hands.
We also lift up any concerns about vaccinations and home remedies, asking that You guide them to trustworthy sources and godly counsel. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May they seek Your face above all else, laying every decision at Your feet.
Lord, we pray that this family would grow closer to You and to one another through this season. May their faith be strengthened, and may they find comfort in Your promises. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician and the Author of our faith. Amen.
