We understand your desire to be closer to family and raise your children in a more natural environment. It is commendable that you both seek God's wisdom and guidance in this matter. Let us pray and consider what the Bible says.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge God's sovereignty in all things. His word says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB. Trust that God knows your hearts' desires and has a plan for your family.
Regarding your husband's work, remember that God provides for His people. As it is written, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33 WEB. Trust that God will provide a job that meets your family's needs. It might require patience, prayer, and perhaps even further education or retraining, but God will open the right doors at the right time.
As for your feelings of isolation, remember that God has promised to be with us always. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you, Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB. Also, consider the example of the early church, who were of one heart and of one soul, neither did any of them say that any of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common, Acts 4:32 WEB.
Seek out a local church that aligns with biblical principles and get involved. Church is not just a place to worship on Sundays; it is a community of believers who support and encourage each other. There you may find the Christian community you desire, including other moms with whom you can fellowship.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this family. We pray for Your wisdom and guidance as they seek to move closer to their family and raise their children in a more natural environment. We ask that You provide a job for the husband that meets their family's needs and allows them to live in a place that aligns with their desires. We pray for community, for Christian friends who will encourage and support them. We ask that You give them patience, peace, and trust in Your timing and provision. We pray that their children will grow to know, love, and serve You, and that their family will be a light to the world around them. We pray this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
