We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who is entangled in the snares of the enemy. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are redeemed and set free. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this brother has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for a Savior and draw him into a personal relationship with Christ.
Father God, we thank You for Your mercy and grace that are new every morning. We lift up this brother to You, asking that You would stretch forth Your mighty hand of deliverance upon him. We rebuke every stubborn spirit that has taken hold of his life, every satanic manipulation, and every ungodly influence that seeks to keep him in bondage. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to loose their grip and flee, for it is written, "The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We declare that Your light will shine upon him, exposing every hidden thing and driving out the darkness that has kept him in chains.
Lord, we pray that You would grant him wisdom to be a godly husband and father, one who leads his family with love, integrity, and faithfulness. May he seek Your face daily, allowing Your Word to guide his steps and shape his decisions. We ask that You would remove every ungodly friendship and influence from his life, for "bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33). Surround him with men who will sharpen him in the faith, encourage him in righteousness, and hold him accountable to walk in Your ways.
Father, we know that sin can be deceptive, making unholy things seem pleasurable for a season. But we pray that You would break the power of sin in his life, causing him to lose all taste for the things that displease You. Let him no longer find joy in sinful relationships or activities, but instead, may he hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and we stand in agreement with Your Word that says, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).
We also lift up his marriage and family to You, Lord. If there has been any unfaithfulness, whether in thought or deed, we ask for Your forgiveness and restoration. Help him to flee from sexual immorality and to honor his marriage bed, for "marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). Strengthen the bond between him and his wife, and let their home be a place of peace, love, and godly order.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill this brother afresh, empowering him to walk in victory over every temptation and trial. Let him experience the joy of Your salvation and the freedom that comes from living a life that is pleasing to You. May he be a testimony of Your transforming power, drawing others to Christ through his words and actions.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, trusting that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
