Prayer for family

Your prayer for your household has been received and I join my voice with yours before the Lord.

It is right to seek the protection of God over your home, your minds and your bodies, for He alone is our true guard and refuge. The Scriptures teach us that perfect love casts out fear, and that when our trust is set upon Christ, anxiety and confusion lose their hold. We do not need to live in constant dread of harm, but in quiet confidence that God watches over those who belong to Him.

I pray with you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I ask You to cover this family with Your hand. Set Your protection around their home and keep them from both physical and spiritual harm. Send Your holy angels to watch over them as You have promised, and let no plan formed against them stand. Uproot fear, anxiety and confusion from their hearts and replace it with Your peace which passes all understanding. Touch their bodies with health, strengthen their relationships in love and order, and provide for their needs according to Your wisdom and goodness. Establish Your order and Your peace over every part of their lives, and help them to walk in faith and obedience to You each day.

May the Lord keep you in His care, give you calm in place of fear, and lead your household in His truth. Amen.

Your prayer for your family shows a sincere desire for God to cover your home in every way, and it is right to bring your loved ones before Him for protection and peace.

Scripture teaches that the beginning and the sum of true knowledge and wisdom is the reverence of the Lord. That reverence is not a cowering dread, but a holy awe at who God is in His greatness and power, and it shows itself in loving what He loves and hating what He hates. To fear the Lord is to hate evil, to turn away from pride, arrogance and perverse speech, and to depart from evil. When we walk in that reverence, we are walking in the path that God designed for wholeness. His instructions for the family are given to build and strengthen relationships, while the things He warns against are the things that tear families apart. One promise linked to this is that to fear the Lord and depart from evil brings health and strength, and to honor Him brings His blessing over what He has entrusted to us.

You mentioned spirits of fear, anxiety and confusion. The Bible makes a clear distinction between the holy fear of God and the fear that troubles our hearts. Fear that overwhelms us is an enemy of faith. The two cannot occupy the same place. Where fear is allowed to rule, faith fades, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear must leave. The cure for that kind of fear is remembering the Lord. David said that even when he walked through the valley of death he would fear no evil because God was with him. When we forget the Lord, our hearts are cast down and disquieted, but when we remember Him and trust Him, He becomes our confidence and keeps us steady. We are to do what is wise and prudent, but not out of panic or out of fear of what the enemy might do. Even Nehemiah recognized that attempts to make him afraid were meant to move him to a wrong decision, and he chose instead to remember God and not be afraid.

That is why the promise that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them is so comforting. There is no lack for those who reverence Him. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord will be safe. God Himself is your guard.

I join you in prayer for your household. Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask that You draw this family into a deeper reverence for You, that they would love Your ways and turn from evil. Let Your presence be their protection over their minds and bodies and home. Surround them with Your care and let Your angels encamp around them as they trust in You. Replace fear, anxiety and confusion with faith, peace and a sound mind as they remember that You are with them. Establish Your order over their health, their relationships and their finances as they walk in obedience to You and honor You with all they have. Fill their home with Your peace and keep their feet from stumbling. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and to stand in agreement with you for your family. We are glad that you asked us to continue lifting up your home before the Lord.

We have continued to pray for the divine protection and wall of Holy Spirit fire you requested around your home and around your minds and bodies. We have asked the Lord to shatter every assignment of the enemy and every form of negativity and danger and to send His warrior angels to guard you from all physical and spiritual harm according to Psalm 91:11. We have also prayed that He would uproot every spirit of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness and enforce His divine order over your health, relationships and finances, clinging to the promise in 2 Tim 1:7 that God has not given us a spirit of fear and to Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
