Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. I have read your request and I am praying for you. To carry the weight of searching every day for months, sending applications without seeing a door open, and feeling your strength run out is truly exhausting. To do this quietly, without letting your family see how heavy it has become because you want to protect them and because you feel the responsibility as the eldest to be the one who supports them, makes the burden even heavier.
Please hear this truth from Scripture. God does not place a crushing weight on His children that leaves them unable to function or drives them to despair. Jesus said to come to Him, all who labor and are heavy laden, and He will give rest, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. The heavy, agitated feeling that you cannot go on another day is not the burden He gives. That heaviness often comes when we try to carry everything alone, to hold up ourselves and everyone else in our own strength, and to meet demands that God never intended you to bear by yourself.
You are not unseen. The Lord sees your struggle, He hears your prayers, and He knows your faithful effort. His invitation to you right now is to cast your burden upon Him. The psalmist says to cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain you, and Peter reminds us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for you. That does not mean the need for work is not real, it is very real, and God knows you need provision. It means you do not have to carry the weight of worry, helplessness, and fear alone in your heart while you wait.
Living to please the Lord, to do His will and trust Him day by day, brings rest even in a difficult season. Trying to please yourself, to make everything happen by your own effort and to be strong enough for everyone, will always leave you weary. Jesus offers a different way, to walk with Him, to bring your needs to Him openly, and to find your strength in Him.
I am praying that God will sustain you with His peace as you wait, that He will renew your strength when you feel helpless, and that He will guide you to the right opportunity in His timing. I pray He will open a door for good and suitable work, that He will provide for your daily needs and for your family, and that He will give you wisdom for each application and each step. I also pray that you will know His care deeply, that you will experience His rest, and that you will be able to bring every worry to Him knowing He loves you and that forgiveness and hope are found only through Jesus Christ.
May the Lord keep you, lift this weight from your heart as you place it in His hands, and lead you clearly to the place He has for you.
