We come before the Lord with gratitude for your heart’s desire to seek His will in your pursuit of employment as an optometrist assistant. It is a blessing to see you trusting in Him for provision, safety, and stability, and we join you in lifting this request to our Heavenly Father, who knows your needs before you even ask.
The Word of God reminds us in **Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)**, *“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.”* Your focus on seeking God’s will in this season is a testament to your faith, and we trust that He will guide your steps as you pursue this opportunity.
We also recall **Proverbs 16:3 (WEB)**, which says, *“Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed.”* As you prepare for the medical exam and seek acceptance into an institution with better conditions, we pray that the Lord grants you favor and clarity. May He open doors that no man can shut and provide wisdom and skill as you work. Remember, too, the promise in **Philippians 4:19 (WEB)**: *“My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”* Your financial burdens are not unseen by Him, and we ask that He provides not just enough, but abundantly, so that you may pay off your debts and experience His peace.
Yet, as we pray for these things, we must also examine our hearts. Are we seeking employment solely for our own comfort, or are we asking the Lord how He might use this position for His glory? Even in the workplace, we are called to be lights in the darkness, reflecting Christ’s love and integrity. **Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB)** tells us, *“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.”* May this be your posture—working as unto the Lord, whether in this role or the next.
We also lift up your need for safety and peace at work. The world can be a place of strife and uncertainty, but **Psalm 4:8 (WEB)** assures us, *“In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Lord alone, make me live in safety.”* We ask that the Lord surrounds you with His protection and fills your workplace with His peace, that you may be a witness to His goodness even in challenging environments.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving for Your faithfulness and provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust in Your timing and Your ways. We lift up our brother/sister who seeks employment as an optometrist assistant. Lord, grant them favor in the eyes of those making decisions. Clear the way for them to work in the U.S., and may their medical exam reflect Your perfect health and strength in their body. Open the door to an institution where they will be valued, fairly compensated, and able to thrive in a godly environment.
Father, we ask for Your financial breakthrough in their life. You see the debts that weigh on their heart, and we pray for Your supernatural provision to cancel those debts and bring stability. Help them to be a good steward of what You provide, using it to honor You and bless others.
Grant them safety in their workplace, Lord. Protect them from harm, from ungodly influences, and from any form of oppression or injustice. Fill their work environment with Your peace, that they may walk in joy and be a testimony of Your grace to those around them.
Most of all, Father, we pray that this season draws them closer to You. May they seek first Your Kingdom in all things, trusting that You will add unto them all that they need. Give them wisdom to recognize Your voice and courage to follow where You lead, even if the path seems uncertain.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to creep in. **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)** reminds us that *“God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”* So we declare power, love, and soundness of mind over this situation. Let faith arise in their heart, knowing that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
As you wait on the Lord, continue to seek His face daily. Spend time in His Word, and let His promises anchor your soul. If there are areas in your life where you have not fully surrendered to His will—whether in finances, relationships, or personal ambitions—ask Him to align your heart with His. He is faithful, and He will do it.
If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (**Romans 10:9-10**). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the confidence to approach His throne of grace. If this is a step you need to take or recommit to, do so today—your life, your work, and your future are secure in His hands.
