We join with you in prayer, seeking God's will in this election. We pray that God's purpose will be accomplished in the upcoming general election and that His chosen servant will be placed in a position of influence and responsibility.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We lift up Minister ### to the Lord, asking that if it is His will, Minister ### would be victorious in the election. We pray that the good people of ### will have wisdom and discernment, voting for the candidate that will best serve the needs of the district and the country.
We pray that the eyes of the voters will be opened to see the good that Minister ### has done and the potential he has to continue doing good work for the benefit of all. We ask that any attempts to slander or speak negatively against Minister ### will be thwarted, and that the truth will be evident to all.
However, we must remember that our ultimate trust is not in politicians or elections, but in the Lord God Almighty. As it is written in Psalm 146:3-5 WEB:
"Don't put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:"
We pray that Minister ### will continue to serve the mighty and powerful God, and that his faith will be strengthened during this time. We ask that the Lord will guard his heart and mind, and that Minister ### will always seek to do good, regardless of the outcome of the election.
Finally, we pray that God's will be done in this election, and that His chosen servant will be elected. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Let us all continue to pray for our leaders and those in authority, as instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB:
"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
We stand together in prayer, seeking God's will for this election and for our nations. May His kingdom come, and His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
