We join you in bringing this serious concern before the Lord together in Jesus' name, and we share your desire to see integrity and holiness upheld in ministry.

God takes stewardship very seriously, especially when resources have been entrusted for His work. It is required of stewards that they be found faithful, 1 Corinthians 4:2, and He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much, Luke 16:10. When funds given to advance the gospel are mishandled, it is not merely a financial matter but a spiritual one, and Scripture warns that nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light, Luke 8:17. We also remember that judgment begins at the house of God, 1 Peter 4:17.

We understand your prayer for divine discipline, and we want to gently bring biblical perspective to it. The Lord does discipline those He loves, for whom the Lord loves, he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives, Hebrews 12:6. His discipline is not out of vengeance but out of love, to bring conviction, repentance, and restoration. At the same time we are commanded, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. So we do not pray for harm or destruction to come upon anyone, but we do pray that if wrongdoing is happening, God in His mercy would expose it, stop it, bring godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and restore what has been taken. If these individuals are innocent, we pray God would clear their names and protect them from false accusation, for Scripture says at the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established, and we must not receive an accusation without proper witness, 1 Timothy 5:19, Matthew 18:16.

We also lovingly rebuke any misuse of ministry funds if it is occurring, for to use what is dedicated to God for selfish gain is sin and must be repented of. And we encourage you, as one who has seen this concern, to not harbor bitterness or a desire for severe punishment in your heart, but to commit this to God and, if you have credible knowledge, to follow biblical order by bringing it quietly and respectfully to godly oversight, elders or a board, with facts rather than rumor, so that accountability can be exercised in a biblical way.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by His blood that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to seek justice tempered with mercy, and to receive forgiveness ourselves through repentance and faith in Him.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up this ministry and the two individuals mentioned. You see all things and You know what is done in secret. If ministry funds are being used in an inappropriate manner, we ask that You in Your holiness and love would bring conviction and loving discipline that leads to repentance. Expose what needs to be exposed, protect what is honest, and let truth come to light in Your timing and Your way. Grant wisdom and courage to those in oversight to steward Your resources with transparency and faithfulness. If sin has occurred, lead those responsible to confess, to make restitution, and to be restored to fellowship through the grace of Jesus. If there is no wrongdoing, guard their reputations and give peace. Guard the heart of the one who prayed this prayer, keep us all from a spirit of vengeance, and fill us with love for Your church and zeal for Your name. We trust Your justice and Your mercy and we ask Your will be done. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for righteousness to prevail, for repentance where needed, and for God to be glorified in how His work is handled, trusting that He is both just and merciful and that He will act for the good of His people and the honor of His name.

If you have specific reasons for concern, a helpful next step alongside prayer is to bring what you have observed, with any documentation, to those who carry proper oversight for that ministry, such as elders, a board, or a denominational leader, so it can be reviewed in an orderly and fair way. It keeps you from carrying this alone and allows truth to be sought without personal retribution.

We join you in asking God to work for what is right and redemptive for everyone involved.

Father, in Jesus' name we ask You to bring light to what is hidden and wisdom to those responsible for oversight. Your request concerning the handling of the Lord's money is a solemn one and we join you in laying it before the throne of grace.

The Scripture reminds us that it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful, and that every servant must give an account of his stewardship at the last great day. Nothing is hid from Him whose are the silver and the gold, and all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. If funds given for the ministry of Christ are used rightly, God will approve it, and if they are used amiss, He will surely bring it to light, for He will not suffer His name to be dishonored without calling His people to account.

We pray therefore not from a spirit of vengeance, but as those who desire truth and holiness to prevail. We ask the Lord that He would search the hearts of all who handle these gifts, that whatever is done in darkness may be brought into the light, and whatever is faithful may be made manifest to His glory. If there has been unfaithfulness, we pray that the Lord in His fatherly wisdom would administer such holy discipline as may awaken the conscience, produce godly sorrow and lead to full repentance and restitution. For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and His discipline is not unto destruction but unto the healing of the soul. And if there has been no wrong, we pray that the Lord would clear the innocent and guard all from suspicion and slander.

We remember also that there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared. No sin is beyond the reach of the blood of Christ when the heart turns unfeignedly to Him. So we pray for repentance where repentance is needed, and for mercy to triumph through the cross, that those who have sinned may find pardon upon confession and may walk henceforth in newness of life with clean hands and a true heart.

May the Lord make all stewards mindful of their sacred trust, and may He keep His Church pure, faithful and fearing Him. We will continue to pray that His will be done, that justice and mercy may meet together, and that Christ may be honored in all things.

Thank you for sharing your concern about the stewardship of ministry funds. We understand the desire to see integrity, honesty and faithfulness in all things, especially when resources have been given for the Lord's work, and it is right to care deeply about how those resources are used.

At the same time, Scripture teaches us to be careful how we pray when we suspect wrongdoing. We are called to lift up holy hands without wrath, and to pray not that others would be struck down, but that truth would come to light and that all involved would be led toward repentance and restoration. When we ask for forgiveness for ourselves, we are also taught to extend mercy to others, and God Himself shows us how He mingles justice with mercy, desiring not merely punishment but correction that leads to a changed heart.

So rather than praying for significant divine discipline to fall on anyone, we will pray in a way that seeks God's justice and His mercy together. We will pray that if anything improper has been done, it will be revealed in the proper way, that those responsible for handling funds will act with transparency and accountability, and that God will grant conviction where needed and grace to turn from any wrong and do what is right. We will also pray for those who oversee the ministry, that they will have wisdom and courage to ensure faithful stewardship, and for you, that God will keep your heart free from anger and give you peace as you trust Him to judge rightly.

We join you in this prayer: Father, You see all things and You judge with perfect righteousness and perfect mercy. We ask that You guard this ministry and all its resources for Your glory. Bring what is hidden into the light according to Your will, grant repentance and integrity to all who serve with these funds, and help those in authority to steward them faithfully. Work in each of our hearts to love truth, to show gentleness, and to seek restoration over retaliation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have received mercy, and in whose name we hope for forgiveness for ourselves. Amen.

Your concern for integrity in the handling of ministry funds is right and understandable, because God cares deeply about honesty and faithful stewardship.

When we look at the history of the church we see many failures, and that history does not show us what God intended His people to be. To see His pattern we look to the book of Acts, where the church is seen as God meant it to be, a people marked by love and by loving works, living openly and voluntarily before the Lord. Hypocrisy and hidden sin have always weakened the church and damaged its witness, and that is why Scripture calls us to purity. Paul told the Corinthian church to purge out the leaven, to remove what was false within, and the result of that purifying was power. A church that tolerates what is evil loses its effectiveness, while a church that walks in love and truth knows the presence of the Spirit.

It is right to want wrongdoing to be made right, but we need to be careful how we pray about discipline. Scripture makes a distinction. The Lord will be revealed in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, but toward His own children His discipline is not vengeance but correction, because whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He does it to bring repentance and restoration. To ask God to bring significant punishment on others can move us toward a spirit of vengeance that belongs to Him alone, not to us.

A better and more biblical way to pray in a situation like this is to ask that the truth be brought into the light, that any misuse be clearly revealed, and that those involved be led to repentance if they have done wrong. We can pray that God would grant a spirit of honesty and accountability, and that those who oversee the practical and spiritual matters of the work would act with wisdom and faithfulness. In the New Testament, order in the church included spiritual men appointed to watch over its affairs, to pray together and to consider expenditures and responsibilities with care. That pattern of shared, prayerful oversight is still God's way of protecting both the resources and the people.

If you have reason for concern, it is also right to follow a biblical process rather than only praying from a distance. Bring what you know, with facts and not assumptions, to those who have responsibility for oversight, so it can be examined properly and handled in a way that seeks truth and seeks restoration.

We can pray together in this way, that God would guard the work from any corrupting influence, that He would purify His people so that power and love may be present among them, that all financial matters would be handled with complete integrity, and that if there has been sin, He would bring conviction that leads to honest confession and a changed course, for the good of all involved and for the glory of Christ who is the head of His church.
