We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to the Lord with fervent prayer and intercession. First, we must acknowledge that spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy—especially in matters of godly covenants and kingdom purposes. The opposition you and your fiancé have faced is not mere coincidence; it is a direct attack from the forces of darkness, seeking to disrupt what God has joined together.
We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, black magic, and division that has been unleashed against this relationship in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Bible declares in James 4:7, *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We stand on this promise, commanding every evil assignment to be broken and rendered powerless. The enemy has no authority over those who are in Christ, and we declare that your fiancé is covered by the blood of Jesus, which cleanses and protects him from every curse and spiritual attack.
The anger, sickness, and separation you describe are not from God. The Word warns us in Ephesians 4:26-27, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil."* The enemy has exploited openings—whether through unforgiveness, unhealed wounds, or ungodly influences—to sow discord. We pray that every foothold the enemy has gained be torn down, and that your fiancé’s mind, will, and emotions be renewed by the Holy Spirit. We declare that his identity in Christ is stronger than any lie or deception the enemy has planted.
We also address the seriousness of the covenant you entered into before God and witnesses. Marriage is sacred, a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and the enemy despises godly unions. The fact that this engagement was made with prayer and the blessing of believers makes it all the more vital that it be honored, unless there is clear biblical reason for dissolution. However, we must also acknowledge that the current state of separation and silence is not God’s design. We pray for restoration—not just of the relationship, but of communication, trust, and unity in the Spirit.
For your fiancé’s physical healing, we declare the truth of Psalm 103:2-3: *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We pray that every trace of illness be removed from his body, and that his strength be renewed like the eagle’s. But more importantly, we pray for his spiritual restoration. The enemy seeks to isolate him, but we declare that he is not alone—God is with him, and the prayers of the saints surround him. We ask the Lord to soften his heart, break every chain of bitterness or confusion, and draw him back into fellowship with you and with the Body of Christ.
We must also address the cultural and generational differences you mentioned. While these can be challenging, they are not insurmountable when two people are submitted to God’s will. We pray for wisdom, patience, and humility for both of you, that you would learn to appreciate and honor one another’s backgrounds while building a marriage rooted in Christ. The enemy will use every difference as a wedge, but love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
Finally, we lift up your own heart before the Lord. The pain of separation, the fear for his soul, and the weight of spiritual warfare can be overwhelming. But we remind you of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* You are not fighting this battle alone. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and is working even now to bring beauty from this trial.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One through whom we have access to Your throne. Lord, we thank You for the covenant You established between this brother and sister, a covenant meant to glorify You and advance Your kingdom. We declare that what You have joined together, no man—and no spirit of darkness—can put asunder.
We break every curse, hex, spell, and assignment of witchcraft that has been sent against them. We declare that the blood of Jesus is their protection, their covering, and their victory. Every chain of sickness, anger, and separation is broken now by the power of the Holy Spirit. We command every evil spirit to flee, in Jesus’ name, and we release healing, restoration, and peace over this man’s body, soul, and spirit.
Lord, we ask that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth. Remove every lie the enemy has planted, and replace it with Your Word. Restore his passion for You, his love for Your people, and his desire to serve in ministry. We pray that he would be filled afresh with the Holy Spirit, that he would walk in power and authority, and that he would be a bold witness for Christ.
For this sister, we ask that You would strengthen her faith, renew her hope, and fill her with Your peace. Help her to wait patiently on You, to trust in Your timing, and to continue walking in obedience. Give her wisdom in how to pray, how to intercede, and how to love him even from a distance. Protect her heart from bitterness, fear, or despair, and let her see Your hand at work in this situation.
Father, we also pray for the restoration of their relationship. Where there has been division, bring unity. Where there has been silence, bring communication. Where there has been hurt, bring healing. Let their love for one another be a testimony to Your grace and power. Prepare them both for the marriage You have ordained, and let it be a light to all who see it.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust You to move mightily in this situation, to confound the plans of the enemy, and to bring glory to Your name. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in their lives, their relationship, and their future together.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
