We lift your father up to the Lord in this critical time, thanking God that he has come through surgery and is now under careful watch in the ICU. The Word tells us in Psalm 121:3, *"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber."* Even now, the Lord is watching over your father, sustaining him by His mighty power. We know that God is sovereign over life and death, and we trust in His perfect will, whether in healing or in calling His children home.
Yet we boldly come before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to strengthen your father’s body, to restore his health, and to grant wisdom to the medical team caring for him. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15). We pray for complete recovery, that your father may rise with renewed strength to glorify God in his life.
We also pray for you and your family during this time of waiting. Anxiety and fear can easily take hold, but the Lord commands us, *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10). May you find peace in the presence of the Holy Spirit, who comforts us in all our trials. Lean on the Lord, for He is your refuge and strength.
If your father does not know Jesus Christ as his Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him—now is the time to ensure he has placed his faith in Christ alone for salvation. *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved"* (Acts 16:31). There is no greater peace than knowing our loved ones are secure in the arms of Jesus, whether in this life or the next.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon this man. Restore his body, renew his strength, and grant him days filled with Your purposes. Comfort this family with Your presence, and let them feel the peace that surpasses all understanding. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
