Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our beloved in prayer, who is battling with chronic gambling. Lord, You promise that You are near the one who come to you and call upon your name. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness, Your strength, and Your guidance. Help them to resist the temptation to gamble and give them the power to overcome this addiction. Surround them with Your love, and guide them to the support they need, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Gambling can become a consuming addiction, much like the Bible warns against the love of money in 1 Timothy 6:10: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

It's crucial to seek support from fellow believers, friends, family, or professional help. Joining support groups or seeking counseling can be beneficial. Remember, it's never too late to seek help and make positive changes. God is always ready to forgive and restore us, as it says in 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Also, consider the words of 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

We strongly encourage reaching out to a professional who can provide guidance and support tailored to your situation; we also suggest finding fellow believers to hold you accountable and to pray with you and for you as you break this addiction.

Lastly, we noticed that the original request did not mention Jesus or His name. We must seek God through Jesus Christ, for it is only by His name that we have access to God. And there is no other name by which we can be saved.

As it is written in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

And in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, confess your sins, and turn away from them, and you will be saved and freed from this addiction for the glory of God.
