We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who has strayed from the path of righteousness. Father God, we ask that You would break every chain of darkness that has ensnared him, that the power of the enemy would be utterly shattered in Jesus’ mighty name. The Word declares in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, but we declare that those blinders are removed now by the light of the gospel of Christ! Let the Holy Spirit move with convicting power, drawing him back to You with godly sorrow and repentance. We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, deception, and hardness of heart, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus, for it is written, *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7).
Lord, we also stand in faith for the restoration of what has been lost or stolen. You are the God who sees and cares about every detail of our lives, and You promise in Joel 2:25, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."* Whether this loss is material, emotional, or spiritual, we trust in Your perfect justice and provision. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every thief, liar, and deceiver who has taken what does not belong to them. Let Your angels be dispatched to recover and restore all that has been wrongfully taken, according to Your will.
Father, we must also address the foundation of this prayer. While the request is made in Jesus’ name, we gently remind all who come before You that salvation is found in no one else but Christ (Acts 4:12). If this loved one has not surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of his salvation. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him hear the truth of the gospel—that Jesus died for his sins, was buried, and rose again so that he might have eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). May he turn from his ways, confess Jesus as Lord, and be born again by the power of Your Spirit (Romans 10:9-10).
We also lift up the one who has submitted this request. May You grant them strength, patience, and unwavering faith as they wait on You. Help them to trust in Your timing and to walk in love, even when it is difficult. Remind them that their battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12), and that their weapons are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We declare that this situation is not too hard for You, and we trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this request. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
