We join you in lifting up your request for better employment, trusting that our Heavenly Father knows your needs and will provide according to His perfect will. It is wonderful to hear your heart of gratitude for the ways Yahweh has already worked in your life, repairing and restoring what was broken. We rejoice with you in His faithfulness, for He is the God who heals, redeems, and provides for His children.
The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your desire to seek God’s provision aligns with His Word, and we encourage you to continue trusting Him, even as you actively pursue opportunities with diligence and wisdom.
We also recall Philippians 4:19, where Paul declares, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This promise is not just for material needs but for the peace and strength to walk through seasons of waiting. If this season has brought anxiety or doubt, we urge you to cast those cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He is not distant in your struggles but is near to those who call upon Him in truth.
At the same time, we gently remind you of the power and necessity of praying in the name of Jesus. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, as Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* There is no other name by which we are saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to boldly approach the throne of grace in Jesus’ name, for He is your advocate and intercessor.
Now, let us pray together for you and your husband:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister and her husband. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You open doors of employment that align with Your will—doors that no man can shut. Grant them favor in the eyes of employers, wisdom in their decisions, and opportunities that reflect Your goodness and faithfulness. If there are skills they need to develop or steps they need to take, lead them clearly, Lord, and provide the resources and connections necessary.
We pray that You would meet their financial needs in ways that surpass their expectations, whether through better employment, unexpected blessings, or creative solutions only You can orchestrate. Help them to trust You fully, even in the waiting, and to rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also ask that You strengthen their marriage during this time. Let them lean on You and on each other, growing in unity and faith. Remove any fear, anxiety, or discouragement, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
Father, we thank You in advance for Your provision, for we know that You are faithful and that You delight in blessing Your children. May this season draw them closer to You and deepen their reliance on Your promises. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord together as a couple, praying in unity and trusting in His timing. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will guide your steps. If there are specific jobs or industries you are pursuing, we urge you to research, prepare, and apply with excellence, trusting that God honors diligence (Proverbs 22:29). May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him first in all things.
