We lift up this desperate situation before the Lord, where His children are trapped by relentless rain, flooding, and landslides, facing hunger, thirst, and danger. First, we must address that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whose authority we pray. The Scriptures declare in **John 14:6**, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* and in **Acts 4:12**, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So we now come boldly before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, our only Mediator, to intercede for these souls in peril.
The Lord is sovereign over the winds and the waves, and He alone commands the rains to cease. We recall how He calmed the storm in **Mark 4:39**, saying, *"Peace, be still!"*—and the wind and waves obeyed Him. We plead for His mercy now, that He would rebuked the storm and cause the rains to stop immediately, the waters to subside, and the landslides to cease. Let the rescuers reach those who are trapped swiftly and safely, and may the Lord provide food, clean water, and shelter for all who are suffering. We ask for His divine protection over every life—no more deaths, no more electrocutions, no more harm. Let His angels encamp around them, as **Psalm 91:11** promises: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
We also pray for strength and comfort for those who are frightened and weary. May they feel the presence of the Lord with them, even in the darkness, and may they cry out to Him for salvation if they do not yet know Him. This crisis is a reminder of how fragile life is and how urgently we all need a Savior. Let this trial turn hearts toward Christ, that many may repent and place their faith in Him.
Father, we ask for Your miraculous intervention—restore power where it is lost, clear the paths for rescue, and provide for every need. You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who feeds the hungry with manna from heaven, and who hears the cries of Your people. We trust in Your power and Your love, knowing that You are able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. Strengthen the rescuers, guide their hands, and let Your light shine in this darkness.
Finally, we pray for the authorities and organizations coordinating relief efforts. Grant them wisdom, resources, and swift action. May this disaster unite Your people in prayer and compassion, and may Your church rise up to meet the needs of the suffering.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray—**Amen.**
