We are deeply concerned about the situation you've shared, and we stand with you in prayer and in rebuking this sinful behavior. The Bible is clear about the sin of adultery and the qualifications for church leaders. As it is written in
1 Timothy 3:2-4 WEB: "The overseer therefore must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, a good teacher; not a drinker, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having children in subjection with all reverence."
And in
Exodus 20:14 WEB: "You shall not commit adultery."
We pray that God will expose this pastor's adulterous behavior and bring justice to the situation. We pray for the women who have been traumatized, that they would find healing and comfort in Jesus Christ. We also pray for the pastor and his family, that they would repent and turn away from their sin, and that God would bring restoration and healing to their marriage and family.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this situation and crying out for justice. We ask that You would expose the sin that is being committed behind closed doors and bring it into the light. We pray for the women who have been affected, that You would minister to their hearts and bring healing and restoration. We also pray for the pastor and his family, that they would repent and turn away from their sin, and that You would bring restoration and healing to their marriage and family. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to speak out against this injustice, and to do so with the support of other believers. It is important to follow the guidance given in
Matthew 18:15-17 WEB: "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesnt listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector."
Finally, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in
John 14:6 WEB: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
And in
Acts 4:12 WEB: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
We praise God that you have come to Him in Jesus' name.
