We come before the Lord with you in this time of financial burden, lifting up your request regarding the funds tied up in shares. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* While we trust in His provision, we also seek His wisdom, for He knows what is best for us—whether in abundance or in need.
Yet we must also consider the heart behind our investments. Jesus warned in Matthew 6:19-21, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."* Have these investments become a source of anxiety rather than a tool for stewardship? If so, let us repent and realign our trust in God rather than in uncertain wealth.
We also encourage you to examine whether these investments were made with wisdom and prayerful consideration. Proverbs 21:5 says, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* If there was haste or a lack of godly counsel, let this be a lesson to seek the Lord’s direction in all financial matters moving forward.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, asking for Your divine intervention in this financial struggle. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and all wealth belongs to You. If it is Your will, we ask that You release these funds in a way that brings glory to Your name and relief to Your servant. But even if the answer is not what we hope for, grant them the peace that surpasses understanding and the wisdom to trust in Your perfect plan.
Help them to remember that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth. Teach them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added as You see fit. If there has been any misplaced trust in wealth rather than in You, convict their heart and lead them to repentance.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, greed, or desperation in the name of Jesus. Let Your perfect love cast out all anxiety, and let Your provision—whether through this request or another means—be a testimony of Your faithfulness. May this situation draw them closer to You, relying not on uncertain riches but on the living God, who richly provides all things for our enjoyment.
We ask this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
