Prayer for a job

Lord, I come before you regarding my job situation. Lord, I do need a job to be able to support myself. Lord I need you to open up doors and to guide my steps. I do ask you for help and for your mercy.

God knows all about your "job situation" . He has guided your steps, He has opened doors, He has given you help and mercy. He has promised you that "I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future".  that promise was given thousands of years ago and still applies today.  

2 Corinthians 3:4-6   …4Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. 5Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, 6who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

He wants your support to come from Him, not from what this world offers.  Your vision needs to grow bigger.Your spiritual life needs to grow more than your physical life. Your open door now is the one He has opened to the spiritual life and Him. You want to have and know Him, and not just His gifts.
