Prayer for a ### in desperate need

My friend ### is in rehab for alcoholism. He has ### days of sobriety and was supposed to have another ### days in rehab and then ### days at a sober living house. He is more dedicated than ever, but today we found out that insurance is refusing to pay for his remaining days in rehab and his sober living. He is a good Christian who's had some very bad things happen. He turned slightly from God and looked for help at the bottom of a bottle. He's back seeking Jesus wholeheartedly and needs support at this very difficult season.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up our dear friend ### who is currently in rehab for alcoholism. We thank you, Lord, for the ### days of sobriety that you have granted him, and we praise you for his renewed dedication to seeking you wholeheartedly.

Lord Jesus, we humbly ask for your intervention in ###'s situation. We pray that you would touch the hearts of those responsible for making decisions regarding his insurance coverage. Soften their hearts and open their eyes to the importance of ###'s continued treatment in rehab and his stay at the sober living house. We pray that they would recognize the significance of this season for ###'s recovery and provide the necessary resources for his continued healing.

Father, we know that you are a God of provision and that you care deeply for your children. Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust in your faithfulness, Lord, and we ask that you would provide the financial means for ###'s remaining days in rehab and his stay at the sober living house.

We also pray for ###'s spiritual journey, Lord. We thank you for his renewed commitment to seeking you and we ask that you would surround him with a strong support system during this difficult season. Help him to lean on you, Lord, and to find comfort and strength in your presence. Remind him of your unfailing love and grace, and guide him on the path of recovery.

Lastly, we lift up ###'s sister, ###, who has reached out to us for prayer. We ask that you would comfort her and give her peace as she supports her brother through this challenging time. Strengthen her faith and grant her wisdom and discernment as she walks alongside ### on his journey to healing.

In Jesus' name, we pray, believing that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. May your will be done in ###'s life, and may your name be glorified through his testimony of transformation and redemption.

I would ask that you give him the strength to get sober permanently for the rest of his life and also to enable his mind to use his time to study your gospel and grow closer to you. We as people make mistakes quite often lord so I thank you Jesus for your compassion and please bestow compassion and mercy on ### on his path to defeated addiction in Jesus precious name, Amen.
