Let us come together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up our brother/sister in prayer, who is currently admitted to the hospital due to a mild stroke. We believe in the power of prayer and the healing touch of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Also, it is important we remember that the name of Jesus is the only name given to mankind to be saved. (Acts 4:12)
In times of sickness, we remember the words of King David in Psalm 41:3 WEB: "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness." We trust that the Lord will sustain our brother/sister during this time and fully restore his/her health.
We also take comfort in knowing that our God is a God of healing. In Exodus 15:26 WEB, the Lord says, "If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God's voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in the hospital due to a mild stroke. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power. We ask that You touch his/her body, heal the effects of the stroke, and restore full health.
Father, we also pray for the medical team attending to our brother/sister. Guide their hands and give them wisdom in providing the best care. Comfort our brother/sister and his/her family during this time, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Lord, use this situation to draw our brother/sister closer to You and to strengthen his/her faith. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and healing power.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage everyone to continue interceding for our brother/sister, trusting that the Lord will answer our prayers according to His will. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)
