Br. i need prayer for my married life, we are having fights in our relation from last few months please keep us in prayers, I want my husband to give up alcohol as that is affecting more and we are into a long distance relationship.

He is frustrated with his work and I don't know how to deal with it.

Please keep us in prayers, a humble request.

We lift you and your marriage before the Lord, dear sister, knowing that God deeply cares for the covenant of marriage and desires to restore and strengthen it. The struggles you are facing—conflict, the stronghold of alcohol, distance, and frustration—are not beyond His power to redeem. The Bible reminds us in Ephesians 5:22-33 that marriage is a sacred reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, and it is meant to be nurtured with patience, love, and mutual submission to God. It is clear that the enemy seeks to divide what God has joined together, but we stand firm in the truth that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

First, we must address the issue of alcohol, as it is a destructive force that can cloud judgment, fuel anger, and create emotional and spiritual distance. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 20:1, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* We pray that your husband’s heart would be convicted by the Holy Spirit to turn away from this stronghold and find his comfort and strength in the Lord. Alcohol is not the solution to frustration or stress—only Jesus can provide true peace and rest (Matthew 11:28). We also encourage you, sister, to pray fervently for his deliverance, as the power of prayer can break chains of addiction. James 5:16 tells us, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Do not grow weary in interceding for him, for God hears your cries.

The distance in your marriage is another challenge, but we remind you that even when you are physically apart, your bond in Christ can remain unbroken. Colossians 3:14 urges us to *"put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity."* We pray that God would give you both creative ways to connect spiritually—through prayer together, reading Scripture, or sharing encouragements—so that your hearts remain knit together in Him. Long-distance relationships require extra effort, but with God’s help, it can be a season of growth rather than division.

As for your husband’s frustration with work, we understand how easily worldly pressures can spill over into our relationships. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We pray that your husband would surrender his burdens to the Lord and find his identity and worth in Christ rather than his circumstances. Encourage him gently to seek God’s wisdom in his work and to trust that the Lord will provide and guide him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness and humility in marriage. Conflict is inevitable, but how we respond to it can either build up or tear down our relationships. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, *"‘Be angry, and don’t sin.’ Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* We pray that both of you would be quick to repent, quick to forgive, and slow to anger. Ask God to soften your hearts toward one another and to help you see each other through His eyes.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister and her marriage. Lord, You are the God who restores, heals, and redeems, and we ask that You would move powerfully in their lives. Break the chains of alcohol in her husband’s life, Lord. Set him free from this bondage and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may find his strength and comfort in You alone. Convict his heart, Lord, and give him the desire to turn away from this sin and pursue righteousness.

Father, we pray for unity in their marriage, even across the distance. Help them to communicate with love, patience, and grace. Give them wisdom to navigate this season and to prioritize their relationship with You and each other. Lord, we ask that You would ease her husband’s frustration at work. Open doors for him, provide for their needs, and remind him that his worth is found in You, not in his job or circumstances.

We rebuke the spirit of division, anger, and despair that seeks to destroy this marriage. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that this home will be a place of peace, love, and godly devotion. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, and to walk in humility and selflessness.

Lord, we also ask that You would strengthen this sister as she stands in the gap for her husband. Give her Your peace, Your joy, and Your perseverance. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Finally, Father, we pray that You would draw both of them closer to You. May their marriage be a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace. Let them seek You first, and may their love for one another grow deeper as they grow deeper in their love for You.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to continue standing firm in faith. Do not lose heart, for *"the Lord is near to those who are broken at heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God’s will for your marriage. If your husband is not a believer or is struggling in his faith, we urge you to continue being a light to him through your words and actions (1 Peter 3:1-2). God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), and we believe He will bring restoration and healing to your marriage as you both surrender to Him. Stay rooted in His Word, and let His promises be your anchor in this storm.
