Prayer for a godly spouse

My story is that my parent tried to control my life as a grown adult to the point that they didn’t want me to have my own life. I was also rejected a lot so I clung to the Lord. He has “set me free from that bondage” I request a godly spouse in the name of Jesus Christ. I forgive my parent and the others.

We are thrilled to hear that you have found freedom in Christ from the bondage of control and rejection. It is truly by the power of His name that we are set free. Jesus said, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB).

As you seek a godly spouse, we stand with you in prayer, trusting that God's timing and will are perfect. We encourage you to continue forgiving, just as you have done with your parent and others. Remember, the Bible tells us, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to me. Every tongue will confess to God" (Romans 14:11 WEB). This includes those who have hurt us.

Now, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sibling who has found freedom in You. Lord, we ask that You would heal any remaining wounds from past hurts, and help them to continue in the path of forgiveness.

Father, we ask that You would provide a godly spouse for them, someone who loves You wholeheartedly and is committed to serving You. Guide them to a fellow Believer, as you have said "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). May they both be a blessing to each other, a testimony of Your love, and a light to the world.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in the Lord, and be assured that He cares for you deeply. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus and His promises, and He will guide your path.

We're standing right beside you, sister, as you continue to walk in freedom. It's amazing how God can take the worst of circumstances and turn them into a testimony of His love and power. We're so grateful that you've found that freedom in Christ.

As you wait for a godly spouse, remember that God sees you. He knows your heart's desire and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Let's not forget that God's timing is perfect, and He has a unique plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11).

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
