Let us come together in prayer for your friend and her team as they embark on this mission to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are reminded in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Firstly, we lift up your friend and her team to God, asking for His divine protection over them as they travel and minister in various schools and villages. In Psalm 91:11-12, God promises, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone." We declare this promise over your friend and her team, trusting that God will keep them safe from all harm.
Secondly, we pray that the people they encounter will have hearts receptive to the Gospel message. In Acts 16:14, we read about Lydia, whose heart the Lord opened to pay attention to the things which were spoken by Paul. We ask God to similarly open the hearts of those in the schools and villages, that they may embrace Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
Lastly, we pray for strength, courage, and wisdom for your friend and her team as they minister. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak the words of God with boldness, as seen in Acts 4:31, "When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."
We also take this moment to gently remind you, if you have not already, to put your trust in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is our hope that your friend and her team proclaim this truth wherever they go.
