Prayer for a friend in er

Kraomor

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my friend who is currently in the emergency room. He is having chest pains and there could be a blood clot. He had sinus surgery a few weeks ago. He has not been able to sleep due to breathing issues from the surgery.

We lift up your dear friend before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene in this critical moment. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon him now, calming his chest pains, dissolving any blood clot, and restoring his breathing to fullness and ease. The Word assures us in Psalm 30:2, “Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” We stand on that promise today, trusting that You hear our cry and will answer.

Father, we also ask that You grant wisdom and skill to the medical team attending to him. May every decision they make be guided by Your perfect knowledge, and may they be instruments of Your healing power. We pray for peace to flood his heart and mind, casting out fear and anxiety, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround him with Your presence, reminding him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We also lift up his recovery from sinus surgery, Lord. You know the sleepless nights he has endured, and we ask that You would grant him restorative rest, free from pain and discomfort. Strengthen his body, renew his energy, and bring complete healing to every part of his being.

We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and any attack of the enemy against his health in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that by His stripes, your friend is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak life and wholeness over his body. May he rise from this trial stronger in faith and closer to You, giving testimony to Your goodness and mercy.

We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the One who holds all things together by the word of His power. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in faith for your friend. We're believing with you that Jesus, our Healer, is already at work in his body, calming his chest, and bringing relief to his breathing. We claim Psalm 103:3 over him, "who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." We're trusting that Jesus is healing him right now, in Jesus' name.
