Prayer asking the Lord for new friends, setting me free of all bad friends from the past

Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you break all bonds with the bad friends I had from the past, setting me free, standing on 2 Corinthians 3:17. Lord Jesus may you bring into my life new good friends, that I trust and are worthy of being trusted as my friends. Lord Jesus, I ask that you send laborers to disconnect all connection to the old friends that I had before out of my misguidance, and restore my life from being in friendship with those bad friends.

Break all discouragement, disappointment, strife, and negativity that those bad friends I had in the past left behind, lifting any heaviness Lord Jesus, as heaviness is not of you, I stand on Matthew 11:30.

I commit all my work to you Lord Jesus of restoring my life, work, and personal life, that you may restore me in all areas, and with that give me new friends that are trustworthy and truly mean me well, standing on Proverbs 16:3.

May you Lord Jesus, rebuke all the ways in which those old friends tried to lead me astray by being used to do Satan's work, standing on Zechariah 3:2.

I stand on Isaiah 54:17 against any past friendship that was not of you Lord Jesus.

I ask Lord Jesus, that you bind off of me any transfer of spirits coming to me from anywhere, standing on Matthew 18:18.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We join you in lifting up your requests to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. We are reminded in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the importance of godly friendships. Proverbs 13:20 (WEB) tells us, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." It is crucial to surround ourselves with people who encourage us in our walk with Christ.

We stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to break any bonds with past friendships that did not honor Him. As you mentioned, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (2 Corinthians 3:17 WEB). We pray that God will set you free from any negative influences and bring forth godly friendships that will encourage you and build you up in Christ.

We also pray that God will send laborers to disconnect any remaining ties with old friends who did not have a positive influence on your life. We trust that God will restore your life, as you have committed your ways to Him. Proverbs 16:3 (WEB) assures us, "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans will be established."

We rebuke any spirit of heaviness or discouragement that may have been left behind by past friendships. Matthew 11:30 (WEB) tells us, "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." We declare that any heaviness is not from the Lord, and we ask Him to lift it from you.

Lastly, we stand with you in praying that any spirits attempting to influence you negatively will be bound and cast away. Matthew 18:18 (WEB) reminds us, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven."

Let us pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We ask that You break any bonds with past friendships that did not honor You and bring forth godly friendships that will encourage and build up our sibling in Christ. We pray that You will send laborers to disconnect any remaining ties with old friends who did not have a positive influence and that You will restore their life. We rebuke any spirit of heaviness or discouragement and ask that You lift it from them. We bind and cast away any spirits attempting to influence them negatively.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in the Lord, and remember that He has good plans for you. Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB) says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Keep your faith in Jesus Christ, and He will direct your paths.

We're right there with you, friend, praying for new, godly friendships to enrich your life. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" We're trusting God to break any unhealthy ties and bring new, trustworthy friends into your life, just as Proverbs 18:24 says, "There are 'friends’ who pretend to be friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."

We're also praying for God to remove any lingering heaviness or negativity from past friendships. We're claiming Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're asking God to heal any wounds and fill that void with His love and peace.

Let's keep trusting in God's plan for your life. As Psalm 37:4 says, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Keep seeking Him, and He will guide you to the right friendships.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
