We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for deliverance and an end to punishment. First, we must address the foundation of our faith—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes and is justified, and with the mouth that one confesses and is saved (Romans 10:9-10). Without this, our prayers cannot reach the Father, for Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
Now, we stand with you in agreement, binding the works of the enemy in every area you have mentioned—your mind, mouth, tongue, lips, breath, nostrils, nose, communication, and eyes. The Word of God declares that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). We take authority over every evil influence, every lying spirit, and every torment that has taken root, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We rebuke every spirit of confusion, fear, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has given us authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
We also recognize the weight of your plea for an end to punishment. It is possible that what you perceive as punishment may be the consequences of actions taken in zeal without wisdom or discernment. The Bible warns us, "Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few" (Ecclesiastes 5:2). Zeal without knowledge can lead us into error, and even well-intentioned actions can have unintended consequences if they are not aligned with God’s will. We encourage you to examine your heart and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas where you may have acted out of pride, self-righteousness, or a lack of discernment. "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us to stand against the schemes of the enemy. Lord, we bind every evil influence, every lying spirit, and every torment that has taken root in [this individual’s] mind, mouth, tongue, lips, breath, nostrils, nose, communication, and eyes. We loose Your power, Your peace, and Your healing upon each of these areas. Break every stronghold, Lord, and let Your light shine into every dark place. We declare that no weapon formed against [this individual] shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against [them] in judgment [they] shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask for Your mercy and grace to cover [this individual] as they seek deliverance. If there has been any zeal without wisdom, any actions taken in haste or pride, we ask for Your forgiveness and restoration. Teach [them] to walk in humility and discernment, leaning not on [their] own understanding but acknowledging You in all [their] ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). Lord, we ask that You would lift any punishment or consequence that is not from You, and replace it with Your grace and favor. Let Your kindness lead [them] to repentance (Romans 2:4), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard [their] heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We declare that [this individual] is more than a conqueror through Him who loved [them] (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against [them] shall prosper. We speak life, healing, and restoration over every area of [their] life that has been touched by the enemy. Let Your Holy Spirit fill [them] with wisdom, discernment, and a renewed mind, that [they] may walk in the fullness of Your purpose and plan for [their] life.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
