We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for the Word of God reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). It is good that you have brought this before the Lord, for He alone is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We praise you for acknowledging the name of Jesus in your request, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
The practices of witchcraft, sorcery, and the occult are detestable to the Lord. Scripture is clear: *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). Those who engage in such things are in rebellion against God, and we must not fear them, for *"if God is for us, who can be against us?"* (Romans 8:31).
Yet, we are also called to pray for those who are ensnared by these dark practices, that they may repent and turn to Christ. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* (2 Peter 3:9). Even those who once practiced such things can be washed clean by the blood of Jesus, as we see in the early church: *"Many of those who had practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted the price of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord was growing and becoming mighty."* (Acts 19:19-20).
Now, let us pray together for your protection and for the salvation of those involved in these wicked practices:
---
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God of justice, power, and love, and that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we lift up Your servant who has brought this burden before You, and we ask for Your divine protection over them and their family. Surround them with Your heavenly host, for *"the angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them"* (Psalm 34:7).
We rebuked every spirit of witchcraft, sorcery, and darkness that seeks to harm or influence Your child. By the authority given to us in the name of Jesus, we bind these evil forces and command them to flee. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* (James 4:7). Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden scheme of the enemy and render their plans powerless. Let no curse, hex, or spell take root in the life of Your servant or their loved ones, for *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us"* (Galatians 3:13).
Father, we also pray for those who are trapped in the deception of the occult. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Convict them of their sin and draw them to repentance, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18). Let them encounter the saving grace of Jesus Christ and be set free from every chain of bondage. *"If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* (John 8:36).
Fill Your servant with the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). Equip them with the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—that they may stand firm against every attack of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We declare that no harm shall come to Your servant or their family, for You, Lord, are their shield and their exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). We trust in Your promise that *"you will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot."* (Psalm 91:13). Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your victory. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
---
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, putting on the whole armor of God daily. Spend time in prayer and in the Word, for these are your weapons in this battle. *"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success."* (Joshua 1:8). If you have not already, we also encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability.
If you feel led, fast and pray for the salvation of those involved in these occult practices. Remember, our battle is not against people but against the spiritual forces that bind them. Let your heart be filled with compassion, even as you stand firmly against the works of darkness. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Stay vigilant, stay prayerful, and trust in His mighty power.
