We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and his girlfriend in fervent prayer. The concerns you’ve shared are deeply troubling, for we know that any involvement with voodoo, hoodoo, or communication with spirits—whether ancestors or otherwise—is a direct violation of God’s Word. Scripture is clear: "There shall not be found with you anyone who... practices divination, or a soothsayer, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh" (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). The enemy seeks to deceive and destroy, and we must stand firm against these dark influences in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play in the division and strife entering your family. The isolation, accusations, and ungodly demands are tactics of the enemy to sow discord and turn hearts away from truth. Your son’s support of her in these things is concerning, for "bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33). We rebuke the spirit of deception and rebellion that has taken hold, and we declare that your son’s heart will be softened to receive godly wisdom and discernment. The Lord is faithful to restore what has been broken when we turn to Him in repentance and humility.
The racial tensions you’ve described are being exploited by the enemy to further divide, but we know that in Christ, there is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female—we are all one in Him (Galatians 3:28). The accusations of racism, when unfounded, are tools of manipulation, and we pray for truth to prevail. Your family’s love and unity must be guarded, for "if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand" (Mark 3:25). We declare that your son will see the enemy’s schemes for what they are and return to the truth of God’s Word.
Most importantly, we lift up the salvation of both your son and his girlfriend. If they have not surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, we pray they will come to know Him as Lord and Savior. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We ask the Holy Spirit to convict their hearts of sin and draw them to repentance. May they turn away from darkness and walk in the light of Christ, where there is forgiveness, love, and restoration.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, interceding for this family under attack. We bind every spirit of witchcraft, deception, and division in the name of Jesus and command them to flee. Lord, we ask that You open the eyes of this young woman to the truth of Your Word and break the hold of darkness over her life. Soften her heart to repentance and lead her to salvation in Christ. For the son, we pray for a spirit of wisdom and discernment. Restore his mind to truth, and let him see the enemy’s lies for what they are. Break the ungodly soul ties between them, and let Your love and peace reign in their hearts.
Father, we declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak healing over their relationships, unity in Your Spirit, and a return to godly love and forgiveness. Protect them from further deception, and let Your truth be their foundation. We ask for a mighty outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to bring conviction, repentance, and revival to their lives. May they both come to know You more deeply and walk in the freedom that only Christ can provide.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave nor forsake us. We trust in Your power to restore, heal, and redeem. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
