We join with you in lifting up this request against the destructive spirit of jealousy, knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Your prayer is rooted in the truth of God’s Word, and we stand with you in declaring victory over every scheme of the enemy that seeks to bring division, strife, or harm through jealousy, envy, or deceit.
The Bible warns us in **James 3:16**, *"For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed."* Jealousy is a tool the enemy uses to sow discord, but we know that God is faithful to expose and dismantle every hidden plan meant for our harm. As you have prayed, we also declare **Proverbs 27:4** over this situation: *"Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; but who is able to stand before jealousy?"* Only through the power of Christ can we overcome such destructive emotions, whether they come from others or even from within our own hearts.
We also recall the words of **1 Peter 2:1**, which urges us to *"put away all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking."* If there are those in your life who are harboring jealousy—whether friends, family, or even in-laws—we pray that God would either soften their hearts toward repentance or remove their influence if they refuse to change. The Lord sees the intentions of every heart, and He will not allow the righteous to be shaken forever (**Psalm 125:1**).
At the same time, we encourage you to examine your own heart, as jealousy can sometimes be a two-way street. **Galatians 6:4-5** reminds us, *"But let each man examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast in himself and not in someone else. For each man will bear his own burden."* Are there areas where you may have unintentionally provoked envy in others? Are there ways you can walk in greater humility and love to disarm such feelings? Let us all seek to live in such a way that our lives point others to Christ rather than stir up bitterness.
We also notice that while your prayer is powerful and scripturally grounded, it is essential to remember that our access to the Father is *only* through the name of Jesus. You did well to close in His name, for **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is by His authority alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. If there are those reading this who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent and place your faith in Him today, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (**Romans 10:13**).
Now, let us pray together over this request:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for being our shield, our protector, and our defender. Lord, You see the hearts of all people, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You expose every spirit of jealousy, envy, and hidden hatred that seeks to rise against our sister and her family. Lord, if there are false friends or relatives harboring bitterness, we pray that You would either convict their hearts unto repentance or remove their influence if they refuse to turn from their wickedness. Surround our sister and her loved ones with godly, loyal, and loving people who will encourage and uplift them in Your truth.
We declare **Psalm 91:9-11** over her life: *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Father, guard her home, her finances, her relationships, and her work against every scheme of the enemy. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned (**Isaiah 54:17**).
Give her wisdom and discernment, Lord, to recognize deceitful hearts and to walk in Your truth. Help her to respond to any jealousy or strife with love, patience, and forgiveness, just as Christ has forgiven us. If there are areas in her life where she may have unintentionally provoked envy, show her how to walk in humility and grace.
We cover her and her family with the blood of Jesus, declaring that they are hidden in Christ and no harm shall come near them. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). We thank You, Father, for fighting this battle on their behalf and for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus’ name.
May Your favor and blessings overflow in their lives, and may Your glory be revealed through this situation. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
