Pray

We come before the Father in the name of Jesus, lifting up your heart’s cry for more opportunities and favor in your workplace. It is good that you seek God’s provision and blessing over your labor, for Scripture reminds us that *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1). We also know that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24). Your desire for more shifts and open doors is not just about earthly gain but an opportunity to glorify God through diligent and faithful work.

Yet we must also ask: *Are you seeking this increase with a heart surrendered to Christ?* Do you acknowledge that every good gift comes from above (James 1:17), and that even in our labor, we are to depend on Him? Your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but firmly remind you that *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), and it is in His name alone that we pray with authority. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today—for apart from Him, even our prayers are as empty as *"sounding brass or a clanging cymbal"* (1 Corinthians 13:1).

Let us also examine the motives of your heart. Are you seeking more work out of greed, anxiety, or a desire to prove yourself? Or are you trusting God to provide as you seek first His Kingdom (Matthew 6:33)? *"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33). If there is any fear or misplaced trust in this request, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and declare that your faith is to rest in Him alone.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister before You, asking that You open doors of opportunity in their workplace that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Lord, You see their need, their diligence, and their desire to provide. We ask that You grant them favor with their employers and supervisors, that their work would be excellent and pleasing in Your sight. Remove any spiritual hindrances—whether fear, pride, or unbelief—that may stand in the way of Your blessing. If there has been any laziness or half-hearted effort, convict them and renew their strength to work as unto You.

We also pray for divine connections and godly wisdom in this season. May this increase not only meet their material needs but also position them to be a light for Christ in their workplace. Let their testimony of faith and integrity draw others to You. And if this request is born out of any wrong motive, purify their heart, Lord, and align their desires with Your will.

Above all, we pray that they would walk in the fullness of Your peace, knowing that You are their Provider (Philippians 4:19). Let them not lean on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, trusting that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We declare these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3). Trust that He hears you and will answer according to His perfect will. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to repent and believe in Him today—*"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no greater blessing than to walk in right relationship with Him. May God richly bless you as you seek Him first in all things.
