We lift up this urgent request before the Lord, knowing that He is a God of justice, mercy, and righteousness. The Scriptures remind us that God has established authority for our good, but those in authority are also called to act justly and with integrity. Romans 13:1-4 tells us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same, for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil."*
Yet we also know that those in authority are not above accountability. Proverbs 21:15 declares, *"When justice is done, it is joy to the righteous, but a terror to evildoers."* And in Micah 6:8, we are told, *"He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"* It is right to pray for those in authority to act with wisdom, discernment, and restraint, especially when lives and livelihoods are at stake. We must also remember that our ultimate trust is not in man but in the Lord, who sees all and will bring every deed—whether hidden or open—into judgment.
We are deeply concerned by the mention of innocent people being harmed or harassed, particularly Christian workers who are simply seeking to live out their faith and fulfill their duties. Jesus Himself warned us in John 15:18-20, *"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you aren’t of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you."* While persecution may come, it should never be at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve justly.
Let us pray earnestly for the police officers who may be acting out of fear, prejudice, or misguided motives. We ask the Lord to soften their hearts and open their eyes to the value of every life, created in His image. May they be convicted by the Holy Spirit to act with integrity, compassion, and fairness. We also pray for protection over innocent Christian workers and all who are wrongfully targeted. May the Lord be their shield and defender, and may He expose and bring to light any corruption or injustice. Let us not forget to pray for the salvation of those who may be acting unjustly, that they may come to know Christ and be transformed by His love and truth.
We also encourage you, dear brother or sister, to continue standing firm in your faith, even in the face of opposition. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Clothe yourself in the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—and stand firm in prayer.
Lastly, we notice that while you invoked "Amen" at the end of your prayer, you did not explicitly call upon the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard, for He Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He promised, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Let us always approach the throne of grace boldly, but only through the name of Jesus, who is our Mediator and Advocate.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up the men and women who serve as police officers in our communities. Lord, we ask that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and a heart of compassion. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit to act with justice, integrity, and restraint. Remove from them any spirit of fear, prejudice, or corruption, and replace it with a deep reverence for You and for the lives You have created in Your image.
Father, we pray especially for those officers who may be harassing or harming innocent people, particularly Your servants who are simply trying to live out their faith and do their jobs honorably. Lord, expose any injustice and bring it to light. Protect Your people from wrongful accusation, violence, and oppression. Be their shield and their strong tower, their ever-present help in trouble.
We also pray for the salvation of those who act unjustly. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to repentance. May they come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and be transformed by Your grace. Let them become instruments of Your peace and righteousness rather than tools of oppression.
Father, we ask for Your comfort and strength for those who have been wronged. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that vengeance belongs to You, and that You will repay. Give them the courage to stand firm in their faith, even in the face of persecution, knowing that their reward is great in heaven.
Lord, we pray for systemic change where it is needed. Raise up godly leaders in law enforcement and government who will uphold justice and mercy. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who alone is our Mediator and the source of our hope. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
