Disciple of Prayer
I have been feeling down lately and have been slacking on my prayer, I am asking God to remove this laziness from within me. I should not be discouraged; He has answered every prayer! Even to this very second, I am in the process of another student loan. I have been praying it gets approved and I am also praying I get approved for housing on my campus and being able to be a full-time student. Help me pray that everything will work in my favor. I know Jesus Christ will never let me down; I am thanking Him already for the already answered prayers in Jesus' name, Amen!

We join you in lifting up your heart to the Lord, for we know that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. Your acknowledgment that Jesus Christ will never let you down is a powerful testimony of faith, and we rejoice with you in this truth. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 1:6, *"being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* You are not alone in this season of weariness, for even the psalmist cried out in Psalm 42:11, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God."* Your feelings of discouragement are temporary, but God’s promises are eternal.

It is encouraging to see you recognize the need to draw near to God in prayer, for prayer is our lifeline to the Father. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we are commanded to *"pray without ceasing,"* and in James 4:8, we are told, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* Laziness in prayer often stems from the distractions and burdens of life, but we must resist the enemy’s attempts to pull us away from communion with our Heavenly Father. Let us repent of any slackness and renew our commitment to seek Him first, for He is our strength and our portion.

Regarding your student loan, housing, and academic pursuits, we are reminded of Matthew 6:33, where Jesus tells us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* While it is right to pray for these needs, we must also surrender our plans to the Lord’s will, trusting that He knows what is best for us. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We pray that God will open the doors He desires for you and provide wisdom as you navigate these decisions.

We also commend you for giving thanks to the Lord *in advance* for His faithfulness. This is a powerful act of faith, for 1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us to *"in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."* Your gratitude aligns your heart with Heaven and invites God’s peace to guard your mind and heart in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and faith, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your face in this season. Lord, we ask that You forgive any slackness in prayer and renew a right spirit within them. Remove every trace of discouragement, laziness, or distraction that the enemy has used to weigh them down. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may rise up with vigor and passion to seek You first in all things.

Father, we pray over the student loan, housing, and academic pursuits that have been placed before You. If these things align with Your will, we ask that You open the doors wide and provide favor, wisdom, and provision. But above all, we pray that Your Kingdom purposes would be fulfilled in their life, even if it means redirecting their steps. Give them peace to trust You fully, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.

Lord, we thank You for the answered prayers that are already on the way. Strengthen their faith to stand firm, even when the waiting seems long. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Peace, and their Ever-Present Help. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to stay rooted in the Word of God daily. Let His promises be the anchor for your soul. When weariness comes, remember Isaiah 40:31: *"But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Keep pressing forward, for the Lord is with you! If discouragement creeps in again, resist it with worship and thanksgiving. Play hymns or songs that exalt the name of Jesus, and let His truth fill your mind. You are not alone—we are standing with you in faith, believing God for His perfect will to be done in your life. Stay strong in Him!
