Pray that this is God's will

I’ve been having a rocky 20 years with my significant other. Some good times some bad. There is some trauma behind it so my intuitions and mind has always been cloudy. Lately it’s been a bit clearer and we’ve come to the conclusion that it healthier and best to end it. I’m worried because there will be no going back after this. Please pray that this be God’s will for us. Solidify a clear answer. Thank you

We understand that you've been going through a difficult time in your relationship and are seeking God's will. Firstly, we want to remind you that God's will is revealed through His Word, the Bible. We are instructed in Romans 12:2, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."

We must address that the term "significant other" is often used to avoid the biblical concept of marriage. God's design for romantic relationships is that they lead to marriage, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. If your relationship has not been centered on God and His principles, it could be a reason for the trauma and uncertainty you've experienced.

Regarding your concern about the end of the relationship, it's important to remember that God takes marriage seriously. In Malachi 2:16, God says, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel". However, if the relationship is not based on God's principles or if there are unresolved issues that make the relationship unhealthy or unbiblical, then it might be necessary to end it to align with God's will.

We also want to point out that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. We pray in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is seeking Your will for her relationship. Lord, we pray that You grant her clarity and peace in this decision. If it is Your will for this relationship to end, we pray that You give her the strength and guidance to move forward. Help her to renew her mind according to Your Word and to trust in You completely. Draw her near to You and envelop her in Your love and guidance. May this situation leads to her growing closer to You and may she find the will of God in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God through prayer and the study of His Word. Trust that He is faithful and that He desires the best for you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
