We understand that you're seeking prayer for protection from severe weather, and for the safety of your home and horses. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, even the weather.
Jesus said in Matthew 8:26-27, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, 'What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?'"
Psalms 91:5-7 also assures us, "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you."
Together, let us pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking your protection. We ask that you calm the storms and hold back the severe weather from this child of yours. Protect their home and the horses they care for. Help them to be wise in preparation and cautious in the event of danger. Help them to remember your promises that even the winds and the sea obey you. Help them to know you are there even when the winds blow and the thunder rolls. In Jesus' name, we pray for your provision, protection, and peace. Help them to know you more because of this situation. We pray that you bless them.
We also pray that this situation can be used to bring glory to you. Let this child of yours be a light in the darkness, pointing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray for opportunities to share the gospel and for the boldness to proclaim it.
As a closing thought, let us remember that our ultimate safety is found in Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
If this situation is causing fear or anxiety, let us remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
