We lift up your wife before the Lord, our Great Healer, and we thank you for coming before Him with this heartfelt request. It is beautiful to see your care and concern for her, and we join you in seeking God’s mercy and grace for her health and the desire of your hearts for a child.
First, we must gently remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we may approach the Father except through Jesus Christ, His Son. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). While you began with praise to the Lord, we encourage you to always come boldly before His throne in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet placed your full faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Salvation and the power of prayer come only through Him.
Now, regarding your wife’s health, we stand in agreement with you, asking the Lord to touch her body and bring complete healing. The Scriptures remind us that *"by his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we claim that promise over her back pain and weakness. We pray that the Lord would strengthen her physically, emotionally, and spiritually, renewing her body as only He can. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB), and we trust in His perfect timing and will for her restoration.
We also lift up your longing for a child. The desire for children is a godly one, and we know the Lord hears the cries of His people. We pray that if it is His will, He would open her womb, just as He did for Sarah, Rachel, Hannah, and Elizabeth in Scripture. *"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward"* (Psalm 127:3, WEB). We ask that the Lord would grant you both patience and faith as you wait upon Him, trusting that His plans for your family are good, even when the waiting is difficult.
At the same time, we encourage you both to draw near to the Lord in this season. Seek Him first, for *"seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Sometimes the Lord uses times of waiting to deepen our dependence on Him, and we pray that your marriage would be strengthened as you lean on Christ together. Spend time in prayer as a couple, reading Scripture, and worshipping the Lord, for He is faithful to those who trust in Him.
Finally, we rebuke any fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to take root in your hearts. The enemy would love to steal your joy and faith, but we declare that *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Stand firm in the truth that God is good, and His love for you is unwavering.
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister in Christ who is experiencing pain and the longing for a child. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her. Touch her back, Lord, and remove every ache and weakness from her body. Strengthen her bones, muscles, and spirit, and let her testify of Your goodness and restoration.
Father, we also bring before You the deep desire of their hearts for a child. You are the Giver of life, and nothing is too hard for You. If it is Your will, we ask that You would open her womb and grant them the joy of conceiving a child who will bring glory to Your name. Help them to trust in Your timing, Lord, and to find their peace in You alone.
We pray that You would draw this couple closer to You and to each other during this time. Let their marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for His church—patient, kind, and full of faith. Guard their hearts against discouragement, and fill them with Your hope that does not disappoint.
We rebuke any spiritual attack against their health, their marriage, or their faith. Let every plan of the enemy be thwarted, and let Your perfect will be done in their lives. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, and we trust in Your faithfulness.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
