We understand you are seeking prayer for more hours to be opened up in your schedule or perhaps for a business or ministry to have extended hours of operation. Before we pray, we want to gently remind you of the importance of invoking the name of Jesus in prayer. Scripture tells us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Additionally, in John 16:23-24, Jesus says, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Hitherto, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and can present our requests to Him.
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* And in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet made this decision, we encourage you to do so today, for there is no greater decision you can make in this life.
Now, let us address your request for more hours to be opened up. We must first consider God’s will in this matter. Scripture reminds us in James 4:15, *"For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"* Our time is ultimately in the Lord’s hands, and we must seek His wisdom and guidance in how we use the hours He has given us. Psalm 31:15 tells us, *"My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me."* We must trust that God knows what is best for us and will provide the time we need to accomplish His will.
If you are seeking more hours for work or ministry, we encourage you to examine your motives. Are you seeking to glorify God with the additional time, or are you being driven by worldly ambitions or greed? Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* If your desire is to honor God and serve others, then we can confidently bring this request before Him.
However, if you are seeking more hours out of a desire for personal gain or to neglect other responsibilities—such as time with family, rest, or worship—we must caution you. Scripture warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Our priorities must always align with God’s Word. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
If this request is for a business, we also encourage you to consider whether this business aligns with biblical principles. Does it honor God in its practices, or does it promote anything that contradicts Scripture? If the latter, we must repent and realign our efforts with God’s will. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."*
Now, let us pray together for God’s will to be done in this matter.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, seeking Your will for this request for more hours to be opened up. Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom and discernment to understand how to use the time You have given. If it is Your will to extend the hours for work, ministry, or any other godly purpose, we pray that You would make a way. Help us to steward our time well, always seeking to glorify You in all that we do.
Father, we ask that You would provide the strength, resources, and opportunities needed to accomplish what You have called us to. Guard our hearts against greed, laziness, or any motive that does not align with Your Word. May our desire always be to serve You and others, not ourselves.
If there are areas in our lives where we have misused time or prioritized worldly things over You, we ask for forgiveness. Help us to realign our lives with Your purposes. Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).
We also pray for protection over this endeavor. If this request is for a business, may it be conducted with integrity, honesty, and excellence, reflecting Your character. If it is for ministry, may it bear fruit for Your Kingdom and draw many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we surrender this request to You, trusting that You know what is best. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that are not of You. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
