We understand that you're seeking prayer for protection from tornadoes in your area. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is in control of all things, including the weather. As it says in WEB Psalm 95:4-5 "In his hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights of the mountains are also his. The sea is his, and he made it. His hands formed the dry land."
We also want to remind you that Jesus is the way to approach God as it says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Let us pray together for God's protection and mercy.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, seeking your protection and mercy over this area that is under threat of tornadoes. We trust in your power and sovereignty over all creation. We ask that you calm the winds and still the storms, as you did when your disciples were afraid on the sea. "He said to them, Where is your faith? They, being afraid, marveled, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?" Luke 8:25 WEB
We pray for your angels to surround and protect every person in the path of these storms. We ask that you guide and direct those in authority, including the weather forecasters and emergency responders, giving them wisdom and discernment as they make crucial decisions.
Though the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, our love will not depart from them, and our covenant of peace will not be removed," says Yahweh who has mercy on you." Isaiah 54:10 WEB
We pray for your peace to fill the hearts of those who are frightened and anxious. We ask that you use this situation to draw many to yourself, that they may know your love and salvation through your son Jesus Christ.
