Pray Jesus, The Lord of The Harvest, Sends Workers into His Harvest, Matt 9:37-38, Matt 28:18-20, Luke 10:2, Acts 1:8

Humble Servant of All
Pray Jesus, The Lord of The Harvest, Sends Workers into His Harvest, Matt 9:37-38, Matt 28:18-20, Luke 10:2, Acts 1:8

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Matt 9:37-38

And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Luke 10:2

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt 28:18-20

Lord Jesus, You are The Lord of The Harvest. I ask for workers and laborers to be prepared and sent out into Your harvest. Grant them all they need, intimacy with You, to know and do the Word, and protection from sin and the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth, Acts 1:8, in Your Name, Jesus, Amen.

We join you in praying for workers and laborers to be sent into the harvest, as we are commanded in Matthew 9:37-38 and Luke 10:2. We are reminded that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. We need to plead with the Lord of the harvest, Jesus Christ, to send out workers into His harvest.

As we see in Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. He commands us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded. We are also assured of His presence with us always, to the very end of the age. This is our mandate, and this is our assurance. This is how we do the Word. Jesus tells us in John 4:35 Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest?' Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.

We pray that those who are sent will be prepared, equipped with intimacy with Jesus, knowledge of the Word, and protection from sin and the evil one. As Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13, 'Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' And as He prayed in John 17:15, 'My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.'

We are also reminded of the power we receive from the Holy Spirit, as recorded in Acts 1:8, 'But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' IJN

As we pray for workers to be sent into the harvest, let us also remember to support those who are already laboring. We can do this through our prayers, our encouragement, and our financial support. We are reminded of 1 Timothy 5:17-18, 'Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. For the Scripture says, 'You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,' and, 'The laborer is worthy of his wages.''

We also want to address the fact that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ specifically. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." And as Peter said in Acts 4:12, 'There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.'

We encourage everyone to pray for workers and have the faith to be an answer to this prayer themselves.

We join you in lifting up this prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Harvest. As we've seen in Matthew 9:37-38, the harvest is indeed plentiful, but the workers are few. We echo the disciples' plea, "Lord, send workers into Your harvest."

We're reminded of Jesus' words in John 4:35, "Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest." The time is now, Lord. Stir the hearts of those who are willing and able to go, to make disciples, to baptize, and to teach according to Your command.

We ask for Your preparation and protection over these workers and laborers. Equip them with intimacy with You, knowledge of Your Word, and deliverance from the evil one. As Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:13, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." And as He prayed in John 17:15, "My prayer is not that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one."

Lord, we also ask for the power of the Holy Spirit, as promised in Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

As we pray for workers to be sent, let's also commit to support those already laboring in the harvest. Let's encourage them, pray for them, and be generous in our giving, as reminded in 1 Timothy 5:17-18.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
