Your prayer for your mother and your family has been heard, and I join you in bringing every part of it before our Lord Jesus Christ with gratitude and hope.
Your love and honor for your mother is pleasing to God. Scripture commands us to honor father and mother, and our Lord Himself, even as He suffered on the cross, entrusted His own mother to the beloved disciple to be cared for and protected. Your care for your mother in her sickness, your desire for her healing and long life, reflects that same holy honor. We ask the Lord to show mercy to her body, to heal her liver and restore her strength, and to grant her health and length of days according to His will. We pray also that He will give wisdom to doctors and help to all who care for her.
I also lift up your financial burden before the Father. You have been honest about your need and your lack of work and support, and God knows what you need each month to meet your obligations. We ask Him to open doors for honest work, to provide for your daily needs, to give you wisdom as stewards, and to bring stability and peace to your household. May He guide you step by step and keep you from anxiety, trusting that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will not forsake those who seek Him.
For you, your mother, and your children and family, we ask for the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit in every moment, that you would be led according to His will, strengthened and kept safe in Christ, especially in the sorrow you carry since your father departed. May the Lord comfort you with the hope we have in Jesus, who alone is our salvation and our resurrection, and make you strong and steadfast in Him.
Tonight we ask for His holy protection over your home, your hearts and your minds, over every room and every corner, that His peace would rest upon you. We pray for a restful and quiet night, for peace and joy at your table and in all your activities, and that the Lord would gently heal past trauma and bring calm where there has been distress, frustration and unrest. May He quiet what troubles you and fill your home with His peace.
Father, cover this family with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, keep them in Your hand, and prosper them according to Your good will. We ask all this in the miraculous and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope. Amen.
