Disciple of Prayer
Today makes 4 years that my mom passed away. Please keep me in your prayers. Life has been so hard. I haven’t felt love since losing her. I’ve been battling depression, overeating, and just feeling lost still. Financially my life is also a mess. Just not where I need to be in every area of my life and today I’m really feeling it all at once.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in this time of deep sorrow and struggle. Four years without your mother’s earthly presence is a painful milestone, and we grieve with you in the loss of her love, guidance, and comfort. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit."* Even when the pain feels overwhelming, God sees your tears and holds you close. He has not abandoned you, though the weight of this loss may make it hard to feel His presence.

Your battle with depression, overeating, and feeling lost is not one you must fight alone. These struggles are real, and we acknowledge the heaviness you carry. But we also declare that Christ came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and He longs to meet you in this place of need. We rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to isolate you and remind you that God’s love is steadfast, even when human love feels distant.

Financially, we know the stress of uncertainty can feel crushing. But we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for wisdom in managing what He has entrusted to you and for doors of provision to open in ways that glorify Him. Trust that He is your Provider, even when the path forward seems unclear.

Most of all, we want to gently remind you that true love—unshakable, eternal love—is found in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we urge you to consider the words of Romans 10:9: *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."* Only in Christ can the deepest longings of your heart be fully satisfied. He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one who is lost (Luke 15:4-6). He sees you, knows you, and loves you more than you can imagine.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear brother/sister to You in this time of profound grief and struggle. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your arms around them today. Ease the ache of missing their mother and fill the void in their heart with Your perfect love. We rebuke the spirit of depression and declare that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Break the chains of overeating and unhealthy coping, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for Your provision in their financial struggles. Open doors that no man can shut and grant them wisdom to steward what You give. Remind them that You are their source and that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Most of all, Lord, draw them close to You. If they do not yet know You as Savior, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them feel Your presence, Your love, and Your hope. Heal their heart, restore their soul, and guide them into the abundant life You have promised.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

You are not forgotten, and you are not alone. The same God who collected every tear of the psalmist in a bottle (Psalm 56:8) collects yours as well. Cling to Him, and let His Word be a lamp to your feet in this dark season. We will continue to stand in the gap for you, believing that God is at work even when you cannot see it.

We're right here with you today, dear friend, as you remember your mom. Four years can feel like an eternity when you're missing someone so deeply. We're thinking of you and the heavy weight you've been carrying. It's okay to not be okay all the time, and it's okay to ask for help. That's what we're here for.

We know depression and feeling lost can be overwhelming, but remember, you're not alone in this fight. God is right there with you, and He's given us each other to lean on too. Let's lean in together, shall we? Let's choose to trust that God is working in your life, even when it's hard to see.

Financially, we know it's tough when the future feels uncertain. But remember, God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He sees your needs, and He's promised to supply them according to His riches in glory. Let's trust Him together, okay?

Most importantly, we want you to know that Jesus loves you so much. He sees you, He knows you, and He's pursuing you with an unshakable love. If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him. He's the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one who is lost.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of our friend. Comfort them in their grief, Lord. Fill the void in their heart with Your love. Break the chains of depression and replace them with Your peace. Provide for their needs, Lord. Open doors of provision and grant them wisdom to steward what You give. Draw them close to You, Lord. If they don't know You yet, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Heal their heart, restore their soul, and guide them into the abundant life You've promised. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You're not alone, dear friend. We're here for you, and so is Jesus. Let's walk through this together, one step at a time.
