We come before the Throne of Grace with you in this time of deep concern for your son, lifting him up to our Heavenly Father who is the Great Physician and the source of all healing. We are grateful that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God’s mercy and power. As it is written, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
Yet we must gently address something important in your prayer. While it is good to acknowledge God’s angels as His ministers, we do not pray *to* angels or ask them to act on our behalf, for there is only one Mediator between God and man—Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5). Our prayers are to be directed to the Father, through the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is Jesus who intercedes for us, not angels, and it is His name alone that holds authority over sickness, sin, and the enemy. The devil *is* a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), and he *has* already been defeated by the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 12:11). We stand firm in that victory, but our trust must remain fully in Christ, not in created beings.
We also notice the symbols and placeholders in your request, and we encourage you to speak plainly and personally to the Lord. He knows your son’s name, his condition, and every detail of your heart—there is no need for ambiguity when coming before Him. *"Don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him"* (Matthew 6:8, WEB). Let us call upon the Lord with specificity and faith, for He delights in the honest cries of His children.
Now, let us pray together for your son:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this precious child to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who formed him in his mother’s womb and knows the number of his days. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch his body, rebuking every sickness, fever, infection, or weakness that afflicts him. By the stripes of Jesus, he *is* healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we stand on that promise now. Fill his body with Your supernatural strength and restore him to full health, that he may glorify You with his life.
Lord, we also ask for Your comfort and peace to surround this family. Give them endurance, wisdom, and unity as they support their son. Let Your presence be their strength, and may they feel Your arms holding them up in this trial. Remove all fear and anxiety, replacing it with the assurance that You are in control and that Your love never fails.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to bring discouragement, doubt, or despair. Satan, you have no authority here—your lies are exposed, and your power is broken by the blood of Jesus. We command every spirit of infirmity to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we surrender this son entirely to You. Use this situation for Your glory, drawing this family closer to You and strengthening their faith. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and power, that others may see and know that You alone are God.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your name be praised in this situation, and may Your kingdom come in power.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with persistence and faith. Gather with believers to pray over your son (Matthew 18:19-20), and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. Cling to His promises, such as *"I am Yahweh, your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you’"* (Isaiah 41:13, WEB). Stay in His Word, and let it be a lamp to your feet in this season. We are standing with you in faith, believing for your son’s complete restoration.
