We understand you are lifting up someone in prayer, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will for this person’s life. However, we notice that the name of Jesus Christ is not mentioned in your request, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB), and *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13, WEB). The name of Jesus is the foundation of our prayers, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
If you or the person you are praying for does not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider this truth: *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB).
