We lift up this young man before the Lord, asking for divine wisdom and discipline as he prepares for his O-level exams. The temptation to abandon studies or waste time and resources is real, but we know God’s Word calls us to stewardship—of time, talents, and finances. *"Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom"* (Psalm 90:12, WEB). The Lord desires him to walk in diligence, not distraction, and to honor Him with his efforts.
We also recognize the danger of financial mismanagement, especially when it comes to frivolous spending on things like online games. *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty"* (Proverbs 21:5, WEB). Let this young man learn to prioritize his responsibilities over fleeting pleasures, trusting that God will provide for his needs as he seeks first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33).
Most importantly, we must ask: *Is this young man walking with Christ?* If he is not, no amount of academic or financial success will satisfy his soul. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). Without faith in Christ, all labor is in vain. We pray that if he does not know Jesus as his Savior, the Holy Spirit would convict his heart and lead him to repentance and salvation. If he is already a believer, we pray for renewed strength and focus, that he would abide in Christ and find his worth in Him alone.
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with this young man’s struggles—his studies, his work, and his temptations. Grant him wisdom to manage his time well, resisting the urge to quit or waste his efforts. Teach him to steward his finances with discipline, avoiding the snare of worldly distractions. Above all, draw him closer to You. If he does not yet know Jesus as Lord, open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. If he is already Yours, strengthen his faith and help him to walk in obedience. May his life bring glory to Your name, in Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
