We lift up this young man before the Lord, asking for divine wisdom, strength, and focus as he sits for his exams. The Scriptures remind us in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We pray that God would grant him clarity of mind, recall of all he has studied, and the perseverance to complete each question with accuracy and confidence.
The path of diligence and consistency is one that honors God, as Proverbs 22:29 declares, *"Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men."* We ask the Lord to instill in him a heart that values learning—not just for the sake of passing exams, but as a lifelong pursuit of wisdom and understanding. May he recognize that distractions and half-hearted efforts only steal from the future God has prepared for him. Colossians 3:23-24 encourages us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."*
We also pray that he would guard his heart against despair when faced with difficult questions. Instead, may he trust in the Lord’s provision, remembering Philippians 4:13: *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Let him not be swayed by the fleeting pleasures of hobbies or distractions that could derail his academic commitments. Proverbs 4:25-27 warns, *"Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you. Make the path of your feet level. Let all your ways be established. Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil."*
Father, we ask that You would surround him with Your peace, removing any anxiety or fear of failure. Help him to see this season as an opportunity to grow in discipline and trust in You. May he emerge from this experience not only with success in his exams but with a deeper reliance on Your strength.
We also notice that this request did not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom all our prayers must be offered. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 reminds us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* As we pray, we do so in the name of Jesus, for it is His authority and grace that make our petitions effective.
Finally, we encourage you who have brought this request to continue lifting him up in prayer, trusting that God hears and answers. May this young man’s efforts bring glory to God, and may he walk in the assurance that his labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Let us all remember that our ultimate hope is not in academic success but in Christ, who is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
