We join together in agreement with you, lifting your heart’s cry before the Lord, knowing that He hears and answers those who seek Him with sincerity. You have done well to invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only by His name that we are saved, and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace.
Your request for God’s leading is a prayer He delights to answer. The Lord promises in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We encourage you to surrender every area of your life to Him—your plans, your fears, your desires—knowing that His will is perfect, even when it may not align with our own understanding. His ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). When you feel uncertain or restless, cling to the assurance that *"the Lord will accomplish that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands"* (Psalm 138:8, WEB).
We also urge you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the reading of God’s Word, for it is the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105). As you seek His will, test every thought and decision against Scripture, for His Word is truth (John 17:17). Be mindful, too, of the company you keep and the influences you allow into your life. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in your walk with Christ and hold you accountable to godly living.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who seeks Your will above all else. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who leads, who guides, and who never leaves Your children in darkness. Your Word promises that You will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go; You will counsel us with Your eye upon us (Psalm 32:8). Father, we ask that You make Your will clear to our brother/sister in Christ. Remove any confusion, doubt, or fear that may hinder them from fully trusting You. Open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not of You, so that they may walk confidently in the path You have prepared.
Lord, we pray for a spirit of discernment to rest upon them, that they may recognize Your voice above all others. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let them not be swayed by the wisdom of this world, but only by the wisdom that comes from above (James 3:17). Strengthen their faith, Lord, that they may walk in obedience even when the way seems difficult or unclear.
We rebuked any spirit of distraction, deception, or delay that may seek to derail Your perfect plan for their life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every obstacle to be removed and every stronghold to be broken. Let Your will be done in their life, Lord, and let them find their greatest joy in surrendering to You.
Father, we also ask that You fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, as they wait upon You. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory (Romans 8:28). Give them patience to wait for Your timing, and courage to step out in faith when You call them to move.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You who began a good work in them will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). May they walk in the confidence of Your love and the assurance of Your promises. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen and amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will not fail you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is leading you every step of the way. If you feel led, share with us how we may continue to pray for you specifically as you seek His will. We are here to stand with you in prayer and in the truth of God’s Word.
