We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your friend in ministry. It is painful when those who should be displaying the love of Christ instead exhibit hardness of heart and cruelty. We are called to bear with one another in love, and to forgive as we have been forgiven.
Firstly, we must remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Let us ensure that we are praying in His name, as this is the basis for our communion with God.
In situations like these, Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, so that we may be children of our Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in ministry who has grown cold and hard-hearted. We pray that You would soften her heart and remove the anger and rage that has taken root. Lord, we know that You can deliver her from this bondage. We pray that You would reveal to her the love and mercy that You have shown to us all.
Father, we also pray for the one who has submitted this request. We ask that You would heal their hurt and give them the strength to continue serving You faithfully. Grant them the grace to love and forgive, even in the face of cruelty. Give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this difficult situation.
Lord, we ask that Your will be done in this ministry. We pray for unity and love to be restored, so that Your name would be glorified.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue serving with a humble heart, as unto the Lord. Let us not grow weary in doing good. (Galatians 6:9 WEB) Remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB)
Lastly, we must rebuke the spirit of rage and anger that has taken hold of your friend. This is not from God. As it is written in Galatians 5:20 WEB: "idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies," these are works of the flesh, not the fruit of the Spirit. We pray that God would deliver her from this bondage and restore her to a right relationship with Him and with you.
