Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my son. He went through a tough divorce that he didn’t want. It’s been almost two years and he can’t get over it. He feels like he is not worthy and that no one will love him. He is a good man that has dedicated his life to helping coaching children. He has been talking about suicide. Please help him to get closer to God and to find a good Christian woman.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle your son is facing, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and support. Firstly, we would like to address the concern that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus in First Timothy 2:5 (WEB). And in Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Therefore, we pray that your son will call upon the name of Jesus and be saved.

Divorce is a trying and painful experience, and it is understandable that your son is going through a difficult time. However, we want to remind him that his worth is not defined by his past experiences or feelings, but by the fact that he is a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. For you created my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, in Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB). In addition, the Bible warns us against suicide explicitly. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him in Matthew 6:8. (WEB). If he commits suicide, he is not allowing God to fulfill his needs.

We pray that the Lord will heal your son's broken heart and help him to find his worth and identity in Christ. May the Lord grant him the strength to overcome his feelings of despair and suicidal thoughts. We rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in Jesus Name and we pray for God to surround your son with His love and give him hope for the future. We also pray that God will bring a godly woman into your son's life, in His perfect timing, who will love and cherish him as a future spouse, and that they may have a marriage that honors God and is a blessing to both of them.

Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved in Psalm 55:22 (WEB). Therefore, encourage your son to cast his burdens on the Lord and trust in Him to sustain him during this difficult time. Remind him that God has a purpose and a plan for his life, and that this season of pain will not last forever.

Lastly, we encourage your son to seek Godly counsel and support from his local church and Christian community. He should not be alone during this difficult time. You might consider encouraging your son to seek support from a church rather than a boyfriend or girlfriend or in a one on one relationship with a woman. In addition, we exhort your son, and you, to seek salvation in Jesus if you are not already saved. We pray that if your son is not already saved, he will call upon the name of Jesus and be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can have access God, and it is only by believing in Jesus that we can be saved. Your son will be saved if he acknowledges and believes in his heart that Jesus is Lord and in his mouth that he is saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation in Romans 10:10 (WEB). We pray that if your son cannot profess his belief verbally that the acknowledgment and believe in his heart will be sufficient for Jesus to save him. Finally, we pray these things in Jesus' name according to Philippians 4:6-7, We pray that he does not worry about anything; but in everything by prayer and request with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We're here for you and your son, standing in prayer with you. We've been thinking about your son's situation and wanted to share a few more things with you.

Firstly, we want to remind him that even in the darkest times, God is always with him. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We pray that he will feel God's comforting presence and know that he is not alone.

We also want to encourage him to hold onto hope. Hope is like an anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6:19), and even when it's hard to see, it's important to keep holding onto it. We pray that God will fill him with hope and help him see a future that's bright and full of promise.

We've been praying for God to bring a godly woman into his life, but we also want to remind him that God's timing is perfect. It's okay if it takes time for that to happen. In the meantime, we pray that he will continue to grow in his relationship with God and find joy in serving others, just as he has been doing with coaching children.

Lastly, we want to remind him that his worth is not defined by his past or his feelings, but by what God says about him. In God's eyes, he is precious and loved (Isaiah 43:4). We pray that he will begin to see himself the way God sees him and find his identity in Christ.

We'll keep praying for your son, and we're here if you need to talk or if there's anything else we can do to support you both.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
