We come before the Lord with hearts full of care and concern for your husband, lifting him up in prayer as he seeks rest. Father God, we ask that You would grant him the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray that You would quiet any anxieties, worries, or distractions that may be keeping him from the deep, restorative sleep he needs.
Lord, Your Word tells us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We claim this promise over him tonight. May he feel Your presence surrounding him like a blanket of comfort, easing every tension in his body, mind, and soul. Let his sleep be undisturbed, filled with the refreshment that only You can provide.
We also pray for his spirit, that You would renew him from within. In Mark 6:31, Jesus said, *"Come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while."* Lord, we ask that You would draw him into that place of rest in You, where his soul can be restored. May he wake up feeling strengthened, rejuvenated, and ready to face the day with a fresh mind and a heart aligned with Your will.
If there are any burdens weighing on him—whether known or unknown—we ask that You would lift them and replace them with Your perfect peace. Help him to cast all his cares upon You, for You care for him deeply (1 Peter 5:7). Let him experience the truth of Psalm 127:2, *"It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."*
We rebuke any spirit of restlessness or sleeplessness in the name of Jesus, for Your Word declares in Proverbs 3:24, *"When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet."* We stand on this promise and declare that his sleep will be sweet, peaceful, and full of Your presence.
Finally, Lord, we thank You for the gift of marriage and the blessing of a spouse who loves and cares for her husband so deeply. We pray that their marriage would continue to be a reflection of Your love—a covenant built on faith, trust, and mutual respect. May they both grow in their walk with You, leaning on each other and on Your strength.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
