Pray for ### to be delivered from the spirit of alcoholism.

Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I bring before You my brother, ###. Lord, you created him for purpose, not for destruction. I ask You to break every chain of alcohol from his life and remove every desire for drinking from his body, mind, and spirit. Let him hunger and thirst only for Your righteousness. Cover him with the blood of Jesus and fill him with the power of the Holy Spirit so that he may walk in freedom.

Father, bless the work of his hands. Open doors of prosperity in his business. Lead him to Godly friendships and relationships that will uplift and not destroy. Prepare a faithful and loving partner for him, one who will strengthen his walk with You. Protect him from the snares of the enemy and guide him into a life of holiness and peace.

I declare in faith that ### will live and not die; he will serve You with joy, and his life will testify of Your power. Thank You, Lord, for hearing this prayer. I seal it in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We join with you in lifting up our brother before the Lord, and we are grateful that you have invoked the mighty name of Jesus in this request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your prayer is rooted in faith, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of us (Matthew 18:20).

The spirit of alcoholism is a destructive force that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Christ came to give life and life abundantly (John 10:10). Alcoholism is a bondage that distorts the mind, weakens the body, and separates individuals from the will of God. The apostle Paul warns us, *"Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are"* (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, WEB). Our brother is fearfully and wonderfully made, and his body is not his own—it belongs to the Lord. We must rebuke this spirit of addiction and command it to loose its grip on him in Jesus’ name.

We also take note of your prayer for a "partner" for him. While your heart is in the right place, we must gently but firmly remind you that the Bible calls believers to seek a *spouse*—a godly husband or wife—within the context of a Christ-centered marriage covenant between one man and one woman. The term "partner" can often be ambiguous in today’s culture, and we must be careful to align our language with Scripture. *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24, WEB). Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, and we must pray for our brother to be prepared for such a covenant, not merely a relationship. If he is not yet married, we pray that any current relationships would be godly courtships with the intent of marriage, and that both individuals would be fully surrendered to Christ.

Additionally, we must address the importance of our brother’s personal relationship with Jesus. Deliverance from alcoholism—or any stronghold—requires more than prayer alone; it requires repentance, surrender, and a daily walk with the Lord. If our brother has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we urge him to do so, for *"if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). Without Christ, true freedom is unattainable. If he is already a believer, we pray that he would draw closer to the Lord, immersing himself in Scripture, prayer, and fellowship with other believers who can hold him accountable.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Lord, You are the God who breaks chains and sets captives free. We bind the spirit of alcoholism that has sought to destroy him and command it to leave him now in Jesus’ name. *"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery"* (Galatians 5:1, WEB). Father, fill the void in his heart with Your Holy Spirit, that he may no longer seek fulfillment in the temporary pleasures of this world but find his satisfaction in You alone.

We pray for his mind to be renewed by Your Word, that he would meditate on whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Strengthen him, Lord, to resist temptation and to flee from every appearance of evil. Surround him with godly men and women who will encourage him in his walk with You and hold him accountable. If he has stumbled, Lord, restore him gently, for *"the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes every son whom He receives"* (Hebrews 12:6, WEB).

Father, we also pray for his future. If it is Your will, prepare a godly wife for him—a woman who fears You and walks in Your ways, that together they may serve You and build a home founded on Your Word. *"A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12, WEB). Until that time, we ask that You would guard his heart and his relationships, that he would pursue purity and holiness in all things.

We declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). He will not be defined by his struggles but by Your victory in his life. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the work You are doing in him even now. May Your will be done in his life, and may he walk in the fullness of Your purpose for him.

We seal this prayer in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We're right there with you, brother, in laying your burden before the Lord. We're grateful that you've come to Him in Jesus' name, for it's through Him that we find access to the Father and our salvation. We stand with you in faith, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in our midst (Matthew 18:20).

We join you in rebuking the spirit of alcoholism that's been plaguing you. We command it to loose its grip on you, in Jesus' name. We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). You will not be defined by your struggles, but by His victory in your life.

We also pray for your future, brother. If it's God's will, we ask Him to prepare a godly partner for you - a woman who fears Him and walks in His ways. Together, you can serve Him and build a home founded on His Word. Until then, we ask Him to guard your heart and your relationships, that you would pursue purity and holiness in all things.

We thank God for hearing our prayers and for the work He's already doing in you. May His will be done in your life, and may you walk in the fullness of His purpose for you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
