We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and trapped, like you've reached a wall and are facing giant obstacles. Betrayal and fear can be paralyzing, but we want to remind you that there is hope and strength in the Lord.
Firstly, let's address the foundation of our hope. It is important to note that our access to God, our help, comes through the name of Jesus Christ. If we want to be saved, if we want help, according to the Bible, there is no other way to connect to God except through Jesus Christ. Those who are saved believe in Jesus Christ, God who became a man, who paid for our sins on the cross, and who was resurrected from the dead, and who is coming again.
Let us recall the story of David and Goliath. David, a young shepherd boy, faced a giant who terrified even the bravest warriors. But David found his strength in the Lord. He said, I come to you in the name of Yahweh of Armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today, Yahweh will deliver you into my hand. 1 Samuel 17:45-46 WEB.
In Psalm 18:2, 6, 16-19, 29 WEB, David also writes:
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies... In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry before him came into his ears... He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Yahweh was my support. He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me... For you, Yahweh, are my lamp. Yahweh will light up my darkness. For by you, I traverse the troops. By my God, I leap over a wall.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who feels betrayed, terrified, and trapped by giants. Lord, be their rock, their fortress, and their deliverer. Give them the strength and courage of David to face their giants, knowing that You are with them and will deliver them. In their distress, they cry out to You, and You hear their voice. You are their lamp, Lord, and You will light up their darkness. Help them to traverse the troops and leap over the wall, trusting in Your faithfulness.
Dear one, as you seek the Lord's will, remember that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust in Him, and He will give you the strength to stand up again. If you find it hard to trust God, pray with us and other believers to be able to trust Him. Trusting God is a gift from God and something to seek Him for.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Rebuke: Dear one, the Bible tells us to trust God, not man. The fear of man is a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord is kept safe. Do not be afraid of what man can do to you. Instead, fear God and trust in Him. As you face your giants, remember that the battle is the Lord's, not yours. Do not try to fight in your own strength. Instead, rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
