Good and Faithful Servant
Dear Lord please frustrate the plans of the government in to bring in more foreigners, while locals are sidelined with no job. And the government deceive us by saying it is good for the economy but actually it is good because they can amass wealth through taxation of the foreigners, resulting in foreigners enjoying what they should not be enjoying while locals are caught worrying for the next meal. The government is replacing locals with foreigners and are denying us of job and make us fear to fulfill their hypocrisy and let the whole nation citizens suffer with lack but foreigner prosper. It resulted in a poor economy where shops are closing like a domino one after another. Lord Jesus, your word say if one does not provide for his family is worse than an unbeliever and this is what is happening. Lord this is not love where foreigners are stealing our job and locals are left to worry about the next meal and those foreigners are causing harm to the country and use unethical methods to stay in these country by making locals work environments so hostile like pressure them to do illegal things so that they can prosper and retain the job. But Singaporeans are constantly worry is there enough to provide as the foreigners make it so hard to survive and they prosper and abuse the locals of this land by denying our livelihood so that can live and created a zero-sum game of survival. And this is whereby a country turned against it people and replaced local with foreigners and let foreigners be the head while locals are the tail. Is this fair my Singaporeans your people are suffering under this unjust policies that seeks to elevate foreigners and dispise locals. How long more will your ears be far from our country how long more must we suffer while foreigners enjoyed like a paradise while locals are denied of bread and fish.

We hear your deep distress and share in your concern for the well-being of your nation and its people. The frustration you feel over economic hardship, perceived injustice in employment, and the struggles of providing for one’s family are not taken lightly. Scripture tells us in 1 Timothy 5:8, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."* This is a serious matter, and we understand why your heart is heavy.

First, we must address the anger and division that can arise from such circumstances. While it is right to seek justice and fairness, we are called to guard our hearts against bitterness or resentment toward others, even those who may benefit from unjust systems. In James 1:20, it says, *"For the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God."* Instead, we are to trust that the Lord sees the oppression of His people and will act on their behalf. Psalm 10:17-18 declares, *"Lord, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more."*

We also recognize that nations and governments are under God’s authority, and He raises up leaders and brings them down according to His purposes. Romans 13:1 reminds us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* This does not mean we passively accept injustice, but rather that we seek God’s wisdom in how to respond. Proverbs 21:1 says, *"The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* We must pray for those in authority, that they would govern with wisdom, justice, and compassion, even as we advocate for righteous policies.

Your concerns about the displacement of local workers and the strain on families are valid, and we lift them before the Lord. However, we must also examine our hearts to ensure that our frustration does not turn into sinful attitudes toward foreigners. The Bible calls us to love our neighbors, even those who may come from other lands. Leviticus 19:33-34 says, *"If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God."* This does not mean we ignore injustice or fail to advocate for fair treatment, but it does mean we must not allow hatred or prejudice to take root.

We also want to gently address the language of "zero-sum survival" and the idea that foreigners are inherently stealing from locals. While economic struggles are real, Scripture teaches that God is the ultimate provider. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This does not mean we sit idle in the face of hardship, but it does mean we trust that God can open doors no man can shut. We must also consider whether our focus on scarcity is blinding us to opportunities for creativity, entrepreneurship, or even advocacy for just labor practices.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the struggles of this nation and its people. Lord, You see the hardship, the worry, and the sense of injustice that weighs on the hearts of Your children. We ask that You would move in power to frustrate the plans of those who seek to exploit or oppress, and that You would raise up leaders who govern with wisdom, integrity, and a heart for the people they serve. Father, we pray for those who are struggling to provide for their families—give them strength, open doors of opportunity, and remind them that You are their ultimate Provider.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over the vulnerable and Your correction for those who misuse their power. Soften the hearts of those in authority, that they may seek justice and mercy rather than greed or self-interest. We also pray for the foreigners in this land—may they be treated with dignity and fairness, and may they come to know You as their Savior and Lord. Help us, as Your people, to respond to these challenges with faith, not fear; with love, not bitterness; and with action, not apathy.

Father, we declare that You are a God who hears the cries of the oppressed. Psalm 34:17-18 says, *"The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We trust that You will not abandon Your people. Bring revival to this nation, Lord. Let Your people turn back to You in repentance and faith, and let Your justice roll down like waters.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in this land as it is in heaven. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek God’s face in prayer and fasting, asking Him to reveal His will for your nation and for your own life. Consider how you might be part of the solution—whether through advocacy, mentorship, or even starting a business that creates jobs for locals. Trust that God can turn even the most difficult circumstances into something good, as Romans 8:28 reminds us: *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."*

Do not lose heart. The Lord is near, and He is working even when we cannot see it. Keep your eyes on Him, and let your actions be guided by His love and truth.

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're standing with you in this. We too are troubled by the policies that seem to favor foreigners over locals, creating a widening gap in our society. It's like we're being pushed out of our own home, while others are being welcomed in without proper checks.

We've been praying about this, and we feel led to intercede for our nation in a different way. While we've been asking God to frustrate the plans of those in power, we also feel convicted to pray for their hearts to be changed. In Proverbs 21:1, it says, "The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes." So, let's ask God to turn the hearts of our leaders, to give them a heart for justice and compassion.

We also want to pray for unity among our people. It's easy to feel angry and bitter, but that's not what God calls us to. In Ephesians 4:2, we're told to "walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love." Let's not let division and hatred creep into our hearts. Instead, let's love one another, even those who may not understand our struggles.

We're also reminded of Matthew 5:44, "But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Let's not just pray for God to bless us, but also for Him to bless those who may not see things from our perspective. Let's trust that God is just, and He will make all things right in His time.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, feeling the weight of our nation's struggles. We pray for our leaders, that You would give them a heart for justice and compassion. We pray for unity among our people, that we would love one another even in the face of adversity. We pray for our enemies, that You would bless them and soften their hearts. We trust that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who will act. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
